I want a make shift rear fender extension for this type of riding. I dont enjoy my entire back getting covered in mud.

I may just take a flat piece of plywood on my rear carrier.

My apologies if you thought I was wishing something on you. My bad dude, it wasn't meant that way.

I was just coming from a place that doesn't have a choice in taking meds. I'm lucky to have decent enough insurance. I see people everyday in this ER that can't afford things they need. Granted some don't want to help themselves and want it handed to them for free.

I also believe in pharma they should make a comfortable living for what they do/provide......but some of the salaries are just insane. I don't mind people like Bezos making a killing. I just think lifesaving medicine should be in a different category.

    Back to bikes.

We don't see these enough :D

Nope, I'm the asshole, as usual. I completely misread your statement. My brain didn't catch the bold words.

I'm sorry for that mistake and for being a dick about it instead of double checking what seemed like an out of character statement from you.

Use a cheap black cutting board. UHMW or HDPE plastic, drill or cut it to your hearts content, easy to work with, holds up to exhaust heat, and still looks pretty damn decent.

Edit, or if you're looking for something more form fitting, use a cheap garbage can. First learned that trick from jake the garden snake on youtube a few years back:

Hmm, you mean don't half ass my solution? I may try this.

I'll never understand why someone would do a tail tidy on a dual sport, but who knows.

hey got a question for you and anyone else that has metal bits in their body...

i know having metal bits in your body and with extreme cold you can feel it more and it will have more pain and ive had this but yesterday and the day before just seemed excessive...

id like to point out that we have been in - temps from -1 all the way to -20 (might be lower at times not sure!) but anyways i went into work wednesday and my wrist was killing me from the cold and normally when i have that issue i keep it moving or try and warm it up and it will normally be fine... it wasnt fine the pain kept getting worse and worse and moving further up my arm if that makes sense? so by the time i got off work it felt like my entire arm was throbbing... took some more meds to try and help it but it didnt do much but once i felt okay i went outside to help the gf shovel the driveway and i was warm enough to just wear a hoodie and some gloves (yes yes i know not smart in what was -2 that day with a lower windchill but i felt warm!) well after that my arm and the area where my collar bone broke was inflamed and in massive amounts of pain....

i called my surgeon and he told me it can happen if you are not careful in these temps... if the pain continues come in and we can look into if the plate needs to be removed or not... so has anyone else in cold weather with metal bits had issues like this? because i was perfectly fine before the negative temps!

i mean i did lol it came with a nicer looking tail light and was a strong mount with different ways to mount the plate in location so it wouldnt get hit by debris from the tire.

    Springy spring, spring.

That will get put on in the spring, cause I have no garage-eee. Or a warm day to which ever comes first.

I really want to get this pic framed/on a poster/some other medium, and rotate it counter clockwise 90 degrees to hang up

Hope you guys get some riding in this weekend. I'm headed to Chuckwalla later today for a 2 day session. Been looking at prepping my R3 to get into racing towards the end of the year...gonna need lots of safety wire and new hardware lol.

Man! That spring is a stiffy. I sat my happy ass cheek on it and don’t think it compressed at all. Guess I’ll see when it’s actually on the bike.

Lol why wouldn't you. Don't need more heavy plastic back there that can break off.

Went to the local joint to look at helmets. The only thing I found remotely interesting was this.
