Being from Detroit, brings back old rumors, Jimmy Hoffa

 

Did you ever see the movie, The Irishman? That way kind of made sense to the way it happened.

LOL, I lived right around the corner from the Machus Red Fox restaurant when he got disappearred.

 

My wife & her girlfriend had drinks there the day before Hoffa's last meal.

 

Remember the Jeffries Freeway project, east of Telegraph, just saying about a 1/2 mile east, left lane.

 

Remember the Feds staking out the Giacalone farm in Sterling Heights waiting to interview Vito & Tony afterwards?

 

That project suckethed much while it was going on, but true to their word, it was done pretty quickly. I spent a lot of time in the Chicago area back then and contrasting the Jeffries project with how the Eisenhower was done out of Chicago, I think I'd prefer the way Detroit did it.

 

Yesterday (Feb. 20), with my granddaughter, on the Oceanside Pier (San Diego County):

A sunny day, low 70s... watched a pair of whales (not grays) just below the water surface, as we walked back.

I grew up in San Diego in the 60s and 70s.

 

I finalized my Taxes; I'm glad it is done.

I almost missed that I had replaced two exterior doors last year. They were both energy efficient, but I was not thrilled about fiberglass shells, which are hard to paint. I'm happy to get a $500 energy rebate!

I remember that song...I'm not old though.

 

Loved Jerry Butler, may he RIP. Good memories in my youth dancing to his music. Especially and my favorite When A Man Loves A Woman. Remember many a dance dancing with girls to that and listening to it on the radio or 8 track afterwards while parked at The Point. Damn those are fabulous memories.

 

Out camping last week in Shelter Valley California. 4 of us came in a day early. We decided to head over to Borrego Springs for dinner at the "Red Ocotillo" Restaurant. Had their meatloaf, won't do that again.
On the way over in my buddies F150 crew cab (I was riding shotgun) One of the guys says, "Camacho, did you just pop a tobacco pouch?" Smells like tobacco back here. It wasn't a tobacco pouch...
My wife absolutely loves those stories even after being married 45+years.

 

Isn’t Southern and Northern part of the state supposed to have the same policy, rules and guidelines?

Watching my favorite Motor Trend TV show " Engine Masters " . Nothing like the sound of a sbc on the engine dyno a pulling to 7300rpm ....... that's music to my ears !!!!!!

 

Here's the Engine Masters episode I just watched ........ crank the volume up and listen to a 327 sbc sing to 7900rpm !!!!
