Looks like I’m going to have to up my wet wading game I have the basics but when I do it I’ll normally wear shorts. Probably won’t be the best idea going further in on horseback sooooo I need more gear. And I thought to ask about felts and as far as regulations go they are fine but Ryan said they probably wouldn’t be the best option due to walking as much as they do. I’ve already run into this from time to time you are somewhat like Spider-Man on wet rocks in a river but you will bust your butt on leaves. So I’m now in the market for another pair of wading boots I really like my simms flyweight’s I might just pick up another pair of studable rubber soles. There’s no such thing as too much gear until you try to carry the shito_O I might have to slip off to Orvis Charlotte today as much as I hate to :anonymous:

dont they make interchangable soles that you can add on to your existing boots?
remember, you get A horse not a pack mule train to haul all your shit around up there.

Korkers has something like that but I don’t have them and orvis makes a hybrid ( felt in the middle lugs around the edge). But my first pair of felts were orvis and I didn’t like the way they fit. These simms are comfortable and I can walk on them all day but the out of river traction sucks and keep in mind old folks don’t bounce. At some point we start to shatter o_O

That’s sorta the whole point I’m going to get something that dries out quickly and just wear it. Leave all my other stuff in the cabin wear a vest choose a rod and roll with it.

If you’re going without waders these are my recommendation for comfy pants. They dry out super quick and the fabric doesn’t snag on branches and stuff. Not too hot or cold. They’re my go to for camping and hiking pants. Occasional wet wade if I just don’t want to deal with my boots

all of their stuff is good. used to work there. never saw anything come back as a return because it fell apart. its good stuff.
also, another selling point on the pants is that the weave of the fabric is tight enought that most mosquitoes cant get you so thats always nice to not have to fight them off.
