I already drew one leg up last night, as well as a "template" to make setting up the legs for welding dummy proof.

Once the acme lead screw and bolts arrive this Monday, I can start mock up.

Have a local job to do Monday anyway for someone that needs a tire mount for polishing wheels.

Yea, dare I say it almost like a mini-100 series. Torsion bar front end, 9.25" rear diff. Still would've rather have a rear locked 100 series, but I think these are pretty good value.

The weird thing is that the VG33 only has a 3.5 qt oil capacity - nearly half that of the 5VZ! I'm not really sure why they did that.

Watch it closely. The only thing I would watch is the heater hose connecting to the core. The nipples are made of plastic that can break when disturbed. However, the plastic nipples can be replaced by finagling from the engine compartment without removing the dash. I've seen these break when somebody decides to manhandle them when changing the heater hose. I can tell you the CV axles and wheel bearings are easier to live with than a 100 series.

I forget who all asked me about dash cams, but here's someone that just ran a red light while on the way to my local hobby shop

Quick and easy to download a video to your phone without pulling the sd card, even uploaded it while at Carls JR

Definitely some Toyotas of War vibes. My driveway is going to look odd with a flatbed technical and rattle canned 4Runner.

Nice, when I was working on the FJ last month I was sitting on a 5 gallon bucket. A nice chair would definitely be an upgrade.

Nice. There's a lot to be said for having a vehicle you can enjoy but not be precious about.

These trucks carrying 1st gen Tacomas and pickups are spotted passing through Arkansas. Many are purchased in the countryside where owners don't fully understand the value.

Who knows where they are going?
