I read the threads on this swap. Somehow I still have questions.

    1. Will 2022 OEM TRDOR leaf springs change ride height vs stock leafs that may be 217k miles old? I'm not sure if the 1st owner ever changed em out, he had it til 205k. I'm assuming they are original.

    2. I'm trying to sell the truck this year. I really don't want the vibration issue. Is that issue only caused by the two diffs angles in relationship to each other changing? therefore solved by doing a 1" AAL in the rear?

    3. What's the best option to balance out the rake?

I want the smoother & firmer ride, my old suspension feels rough compared to the newer trucks I test drove. I don't care about the lift. 1" lift is fine with me if the rake is maintained. I can get the whole 2022 setup for $250, but I don't want a can of worms, and I want to maintain the value of the truck which is running perfectly right now.

If it were my truck and I knew I was going to sell it, I'd put on the 2022 OEM stuff for $250 and then do a block in the rear for the rake. Shouldn't have vibration issues from that small of a lift.

If it raises the rear, it's because your old springs are worn and settled down.
But it should not, they are the same springs in the rear.

It's the front coils that are different. Not the rear.

3rd gen afaik has the same leafs as the 2nd gen post tsb. Front coils might get you a 1" lift up front.

I run 3rd gen coils and General Spring HD leafs for a very small lift.

thanks! Any issues with the differential vibration that others have mentioned?

With my setup, I'd guess the rake is slightly more pronounced than stock. Never noticed any unusual vibrations, and I look for it. But I'd wager the tolerances are slightly different on every truck, so ymmv.

    There is no point.

You would be removing pencil shocks, to install pencil shocks.
In the threads on doing this, supposedly it raises the front a bit. In which case, the rear may not raise. If you find it does not raise, it is not hard or expensive to put an AAL that will give it a tad bit more height in the back. Question is if you will need extended brake lines. I went with some just to be safe. 1. when adding more lift and travel, I didn't want to rip the old lines.
    2. the old lines are old, and rubber. Wise to replace regardless.

First thing that popped in to my mind, if you're selling in a few months...is it really worth the bother?

Regardless. I gained probably +1.25/1.75 with 3G OR takeoffs and a 1/2" block in the back, but this was replacing old pre-TSB springs in the rear which most likely doesn't apply to you. I also replaced what appeared to be sagging aftermarket stock replacement front struts. I was expecting a touch more, but people's outcomes vary a bit.

I did this and would do so again and have zero vibrations. The only lift in the rear was from replacing my sagging rear springs. The front is raised some but it looks good for just swapping out old parts for new. Rides better as well and still wont ride like a "new" truck.

Anyone know if 3rd gen limited suspension would yield the same results?

I don't believe that suspension is any different. The only differences between the years and models are the struts themselves. The rest can be chalked up to age of springs. I'm sure there are model number differences in the springs, but it's negligible.

I think you are over thinking this. Throw them on, drive for ~200mi and then measure.

They will not. the Offroad is a progressive spring, hence the slight lift in the front

The SR5, Limited and Sport do not use the progressive spring like the OffRoad.

    ok!

So if I can get 20k miles 2022 limited suspension, I would likely get a freshly improved ride, with no change to ride height?
