So I hear the whispers of a solid front-differential conversion??

 

People knock me for this, but go look at Mitsubishi. Won’t be the greatest mpg’s but mighty fine cars for the money.

My local dealer even has an older I-MIEV for cheap

Or just buy a Yota hybrid.

 

A quick look 17k starting for the sedan with 41mpg highway. Not too bad. Maybe I’ll have to test drive one at least.

I had been looking at Corolla and Corolla hybrids, maybe Prius a bit too. Not much looking, just peaking really.

 

Feel like the rear locked I add will do much more for my off road confidence lol

If you don't want to drive a penalty box, our '23 Camry (non-hybrid) can reach 40+mpg during the summer. '21-24's are the best of that gen.

General maintenance is stupid simple too.

 

The Camry is a little more than I’d like to pay but I’ll still definitely look into it. If I get something, I might pass it down to my kid when he drives. At those corollas and Prius have pretty good resale if I need

 

Well, just drove home from Gettysburg and I must say… the headlight mod is AWESOME!!

If any of you drive back roads at night with hi beams, you gotta get it!!

1/3 tasks done today. Seat covers installed! Took about an hour taking my time and being interrupted a few times. They look great! Went on pretty easy but annoying at the same time.

 

Sweet! They look great!! That’s not as long as I expected time wise… when I opened the box, I figured it’d be a couple hour minimum. Did you pull the seats completely out and do them on the ground, or in truck?

 

Just did them in the truck. I think the added time and in my usual case, the chance of something being messed up, leaving the seats in was best. And then I didn’t need to disconnect the batter for a while and deal with the airbag cable. That connector is a pain if I remember right.

one thing I gotta figure out is one side of the back seat doesn’t latch. It feels like it’s going back far enough and I don’t see anything in the way. I’m thinking the latch didn’t spring lock/latch.

 

Those look awesome! I would never know they were aftermarket.

It wasn’t the latch as the issue, just the tiny bit of difference in the back made it really tough for it to latch. I did eventually get it.

Pulled off the rear Prinsu bar, took the skulls off and then started to waterless wash the truck while the pup was outside tethered. She got bored so now my truck is only half done

 

I was thinking that the 1st pic WAS the new seat covers! I need to learn a bit more about the 3rd gens..
