Follow along as I have fun with my Daily Driver Long Travel GX470!!!!!

2004 Lexus GX470. Purchased in 2016 for $9250 Cash with 165k miles on it. Its been the wife's soccer mobile taking the kids around to school, events, and such. I reclaimed it back from her (actually let her drive my F150) and went all out full build on the GX

    Build List
    • Dirt King Front Long Travel Kit
    • Fox Racing Coilovers
    • Metal Tech Rear Long Travel Kit
    • Metal Tech HD Rear Coils
    • Radflow Long Travel Rear Shocks
    • Perry Performance BumpStops
    • SCS Wheels
    • New Headlights
    • Amazon Snorkel
    ToDo List:
    • Design and Build Front Bumper
    • Design and Build Rear Bumper
    • Skid plates and sliders
    • Acquire and Prep larger rear axle

The point of no return. I will be designing and building my own off-road bumper.

I scanned front of m GX a few months back. I need to take another scan with the stock bumper off so I can measure and accurately scale off the frame horn bolts. Soon I will start designing the Front bumper off this model.

What scanner do you use? There is a GX470 scan online without the front bumper for pretty short money.

I am contemplating getting a better phone mostly so I can 3d scan with it. Cool build so far BTW, I'll be building some GX bumpers this spring for a friend.

Thank you. Yeah actually that last scan I did was with my old iPhone 11. I’ve got the newest iPhone Pro now, so I can’t wait to see how the new scan comes out. I really don’t like any of the bumpers currently on the market. So that’s why I’m gonna design my own.
