About at my wits end with these popping/clunking noises. I've had it to several shops including a dealer that "couldn't hear it". I'm gonna get my set of chassis ears onto some of the components, but wanted to see if anybody here could quickly identify what the problem might be. I'm thinking either swaybar bushings or body mount bushings. 2021 TRDOR, 6MT. I've tried butting rubber isolators on the transmission heat shield while I did the clutch accumulator delete but that didn't help this issue. It's not a new thing, it's been going on for over a year.

Here's a video I took. You can hear it right away: https://youtu.be/wM3AWlatK34?si=NOCHVXMK3LOzU7M7

I had something like this. It would make a thump whenever I engaged the transmission from the park position. Oddly enough, my UCAs were pretty new, so I lubed them with some WD-40 and Super Lube. The thump noise has not been back since. I read somewhere on this forum that people said it was their brakes, too. I didn't go that deep. Hope you figure it out soon.

Thanks man. I've heard the brakes thing too. I still have a lot of original pad life at 80k miles but if it turns out to be the issue I'll happily replace them

If you have a way of mounting a GoPro down there while you are driving through the neighborhood, that may help you find the problem. The sound is obvious so there is no denying it. It could be a number of things but having an eye down there would help.

Shock rubber maybe? Is the truck lifted?

I can't hear your popping on the video, but I had an occasional front end pop when turning and it was the front skid plate that was loose.

You should be able to hear it in the first few seconds pretty loudly, I've had it on and off several times and it's tight... Hard to describe over text what it sounds like

Was doing an oil change this evening so I took the skid plate off and put the chassis ears on basically every metal part that moves. The passenger side spring was the only part I could hear the noise somewhat louder in, but not the UCA or LCA seemingly. Can still hear it if bounce the truck by pushing it up from the bottom. Even more lost now. :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed:

On my truck, the tabs for the LCA alignment are bent out a bit from 4x4 truck stuff, and I swear on a harder stop, the LCA arms must shift just a teeny bit and make the clunk.

Skid plate loose gave me a similar clunk for a while too.

My truck clunks and thunks whenever I turn the wheel when stopped, come to a complete stop from low speeds, or accelerate from a stop. I've had the trd skid and the talons garage cat shield/skid combo for over a year now and sometimes when I do an oil change, I'll re-torque the bolts with my shitty Amazon torque wrench and the clunks go away for a bit then it comes back.

I think I'm going to try swapping the front body mounts out given that's a known issue on the 3rd gens and it's cheap.

Grease the hood height adjusters/stops. Super cheap and quick thing to rule out before you dive into anything else. This fixed my noise.

Replaced pads and rotors, can confirm those weren't the issue.

Same here, I have a "trac, trac, trac" noise happening only when I slow down to a stop that can't figure out, replaced rotors and pads, did the ECGS bushing and changed the UCA's to the JBA's with the new bushings and the noise is still there. I just turn the music louder for now.

Could it be wheel weights rubbing on the caliper? I had a similar noise and that ended up being the problem. Discount tire stacked them when I told them not to.

I have 17 inch wheels on stock calipers and it only happens when you're slowly braking to a stop, if I brake hard no noise, when taking off no noise, believe me I understand your frustration. the noise is only in the driver's side, I'm going to check the weights just to rule that out, thanks.
