Yep, lots of highway miles. Truthfully, I've only ever rotated them myself each oil change (at 10k intervals) and never taken to a shop for rebalance or anything. I know pushing 100k isn't something someone should expect out of any tire, and I wouldn't expect to ever get that out of another set, but my commute/drive style obviously plays a big role in that. I'm positive I'd get half of that if my commute consisted more of twists and turns and less straight boring freeway.

Ahh, that sucks. I knew they were "together," but didn't know DTD's TW presence vanished in that process. Oh well, I'll send an email!

I went from OG Dura-Tracs 285/75/16 to KO3 285/75/16. The KO3 looked a lot skinnier. In fact, I didn't like them and now I have the new Dura-Trac R/T in 285/75/16. I also did not like the sidewall when I was researching tires. It's grown on me and looks fine now. We had 3 inches of snow in town last week. Since it was only going to last for a couple days I decided not to put on my dedicated snow tires, (Blizzaks). Well, The New Dura-Tracs did fine in 4wd accelerating from stop lights but stopping was less than desirable. Especially when I'm use to how well the blizzaks do. Had a few sketchy moments. Also, When turning on snow covered roads, they seemed to want to plow straight instead of turning. Required a bit more throttle taps to bite in. Also kind of strange. I'll definitely be putting on my dedicated snow tires for any traveling over the mountain passes instead of risking it with these. In all other conditions they have been great though. We'll see if they get as loud as the OG's when they wear down.

Yep, the lugs are spaced a little closer. That might be why the RT is supposed to be a littler quieter than the original DTs. Although, almost anything is a little quieter than the original DTs. If you don't mind the noise, the DT is a great tire.

I recently switched from 285/75/17 Yokohama MT’s to 315/75/16 KO3’s. Same offset wheels with fairly aggressive CMC with both tires. The increased width of the 315 definitely increases the rubbing on the cab mount. i plan on modifying my chop to be more chopped and also trimming fenders this summer. Just something to think about when debating sizes.

How did the yokos fit on your truck? Any reason why you didn’t stick with the 285/75 KO3 size?

How well do these handle in heavy rain and going through puddles?

The Yokohama’s fit well with cmc, pinch weld folded over, 3.5* caster and lower fender/flare trim. No rubbing at all. Just wanted to go bigger for no real reason

I mounted 1, 295/75r16 to test fit for cmc cut, pinch weld and fender liner mods.

I’m curious to see how they look/how they fit and if you like em in the snow/mud/and rocks. I think the 295/70 KO3 is my next tire, but I haven’t seen em mounted up in the wild yet!

    That's a huge tire for a 16" wheel.

Update: Had the KO3's in 265/75/16 for 5500 miles/6months. They do great in the rain/wet roads so far. No slipping which was my biggest concern. Also seen some mud and sand but no white stuff here.
Just rotated, road wear looks even, nothing odd.
Road noise still pretty quiet. Pretty happy over all, just wish it wasn't $320 per tire!

I have exclusively ran mud terrains or hybrid tires. I wanted something that would perform well enough in all conditions and be quiet on the road. In the northeast, you need something that can do it all. Snow/ice, mud and rocks. These KO3s will be the least aggressive tires I've ever ran so hopefully they don't disappoint.

Bfgoodrich lists them at 33.4" x 11.6". they seem true to size, if not a little taller. You wouldn't want to go any wider on factory 16x7" wheels.

Same. Although as I’ve gotten older I’ve found myself gravitating to less and less aggressive tires with every new set I buy. lol. Living in the PNW, I need a good snow and ice tire. My OG duratracs have been great, but they’ve got miles on em and they’re starting to get loud and show their age

Has anybody had the “MT Baja boss AT” before using the KO3? (They are my top 2 choices right now)

It’s SL or E for the Baja boss and E for the KO3 in my size (265/75r16).

    Thanks in advance
