My 2011 recently needed a fuel pump and an AC line. Up until then it only needed basic maintenance. I suspect it will go another decade with only basic maintenance.

    So, to answer the title,

    All of them.

Provided you perform routine maintenance on time, including major wear items such as wheel bearings and fuel pumps.

My 2012 Tacoma has around 213k on the clock(bought it with zero). I've only had minor repairs water pump, ac hose, secondary air valve replaced under warranty at 200k. Lots of tires, new suspension x 2 for the rears and leafsprings. Runs like new I am pretty meticulous about changing all my fluids at regular intervals using synthetics all around. Im 58 and I need this to last until I retire maybe longer. I also have an old lexus I use as my daily driver so the taco only gets used when I need a truck or if It looks lonely I rip it around for a day or 2.
    I love the reliability.

Nice! How often do you service your ATF (If you have an automatic that is). I have no doubt that will roll well into your retirement. I'm 62, just bought my 3rd Toyota truck (190k miles) and have no doubt this will last til I'm rolling into the nursing home or the graveyard lol.

Be aware that the life of a car is driver dependent. If you commute 30 miles each day on the freeway going the limit vs stop n go is different on the engine/transmission etc. Same with the daily driver that drives 5 miles to work and barely gets the car up to temp.

Also, if your car is garage kept vs kept outside will make a difference. Chicago is different than San Diego.

In all cases, if you REALLY want to keep on top of your car, any car, get an oil analysis and make adjustments to your maintenance from there. Keep up on any repairs/replacements that need to get done. Wash your car frequently. Don't let gunk build up.

I have a 2008 4x4 Tacoma that I purchased used in 2012 with 70,000 miles on it. It now has almost 270K on it. Only issue is ive had to replace the 4x4 Transfer case. Other than routine maintenance. No big issues (KNOCK ON WOOD). Going strong!

Depends of where and how it's driven. I'm in Quebec = road salt. I started off with my new 2012 with new tires and OME suspension. Over the last 2 years, I dropped $10K in Canadian pesos on my 2012, mostly in OEM parts, starting at about 200K km. Not much before that other than regular maintenance and a few parts. I must of done at least 50K km on gravel roads, usually high speed and loaded to the gills (not me, the truck ;)). Here's a rough list on what was done with date, km's and parts. Presently, trucks purrs like a kitten, and hoping for a 30K until additional work which will probably be idler wheels, plugs, possibly alternator, and thinking of changing AC compressor as preventive maintenance. Crossing my fingers to keep it another 3 yrs/ 60K without much work. We'll see after that, rust is starting to show :( Presently at 258K km / 160K miles.

only had her 5 months tho! good points by you...oil does like getting up to temp, moreso an issue if you dont let it do that, like when i drive 2 mins to walk dog from my house, the vehicle doesnt fully warm, and the oil gets milky under fill cap

Can a 19 year old Tacoma with 129k miles be added to this list? Parked outside all it's life so it needs new paint. Minor repairs and proper maintenance, but I drive this one out to wherever without any worries.

Like everyone else has mentioned, proper maintenance and always inspect for broken, worn, leaking items and replace as soon as possible.

My dad just picked up a 4th gen Tacoma and even though it's tempting, I can't get rid of my fully functional truck.

A properly designed vehicle taken care of will do over a million miles.

my Tacoma has given me so much the question is how can I give to it.

as a professional mechanic who has worked on most of, if not every type of vehicle on the road, I know this is by far not the norm.

I agree. But, he did prove a point. These things are built to last! Better than buying a nice old vintage and desirable vehicle and wrapping it in plastic never to enjoy it. I know some who spend a ton of money on things like Porsches and the like and never drive it aside from an occasional 5 mile drive to the office 'to be seen'. I told him he's KILLING his car. I'd hate to see what his EGR/CCV system looks like. Probably resembles the Exxon Valdiz! (Did I just date myself?).
