Ive heard pretty good things about the General HD Spring. Supposed to give ~1.5" of lift.

"plug and play" is meant to cover a wide range of applications, none of them well. That long span the later 1st gens had is just gonna be wonky no matter what you buy. You'll prolly get the ride height you want, until you add camping gear.
They really should come with a military wrap leaf under the main leaf, that would solve 99% of the wavy spring issues.
Build your own is the best way to make them work, Tundra has a bastard set I built to carry that camper and not be totally ass high when it's off.
The taco was the same, started with the OME, then removed and replaced a few leaves over time.
You have offers for free sets, I'd snag them up and get to stacking. :D
You'll need new centering pins, and try to save the factory alignment clamps that may be on what you are building.

Dodge Dakotas (unfortunately I'm not sure of the exact years, so you'll still have to do some research) are known good donors for leafs. They have springs of similar dimensions to 1st gen Tacomas--overall spring length, leaf width, centering pin position within the spring, etc. @0xDEADBEEF is running a Dakota bastard pack and I recall him saying he's happy with it.

I have a very well used seat of Deavers you can have for free. Probably good for 2" or less of lift. Or use some leafs for a bastard pack.

Rode great, but did have a noticeable amount of axle wrap.

Good times in Eric's driveway! Crazy to think that was a decade ago.

Might take you up on those Deavers.

It’s was 11 years ago that you made an appearance in my driveway too, with Old Brett and his buddy Troy.

Damn, I have some windows to get rid of as well and was planning on taking them there. I guess I am in the same boat as you now.

Might be worth checking with a rage room, at least if they're tempered. Lol

I need to come down and visit Tim for some work. I'll toss them in when I do.

There was many a mod day over there. Can't remember exactly when that came about, but probably about the same time frame.

That's something I could try. But tbh, it was a pia driving the JK down. And now it has some rear control arm issue and hesitant to drive it long distance till i can fix that.

TBH, there aren't any sites worth driving through on this trip that wouldn't be hours out of the way. It's 8 hrs of nothing from Dallas to NM. I've seen the vertical car thingie outside of Amarillo a few times. We've been taking highway 285 instead of 25 while towing. Less scenic CO stuff, but also a lot fewer hills to climb. Ends up being like 45 minutes shorter and less gas.
I'll check them out. I got a quote from a Hagerty partner, since my M3 is insured through them. But they only do closed carriers and it was gonna be $3200. So far the uship bids are at $1500 after fees.

Anyone know of a reputable shop that can make spare keys? I've been on my spare for 5 years. It would be nice to finally have keyless entry and door locks. Anywhere in the Denver area would be cool.

I'm hoping there's a better option than going to a dealer.

You ask for keys, but mention keyless entry. Are you also asking for a fob to be programmed?

Yeah, I am. My bad, should have been more specific.

May have just lost a few trails I can “fit through”….. Part of the intent of doing the SAS was increasing the trails I would attempt, not limiting them. Having added spacers due to the tire width, I’m pretty sure doing Schofield Pass again is a no go. But I’ve got the clearance I need. Truck is making steady progress.
