5 months. They have been having me troubleshoot my interior bulbs for 5 months now instead of just sending me new ones.

I bought the bulbs at the end of May last year directly off of their website, and have been trying to get them replaced since September..

Avoid their interior LED bulbs. 5 months of BS to avoid warrantying 2 $10 bulbs.

I finally got fed up dealing with them, bit the bullet and just bought replacements from AutoZone. Amazing how replacing the bulbs that didn't work fixed the problem.

^Some YouTubers mention the flickering is due to overheating. DD designed these bulbs for a certain form factor (194, etc.) but doesn't control the lamp enclosure. High likelihood warranty replacement bulbs would do the same thing after a while. I suggest upgrading to something more "efficient", like Meso's map lights and dome light.

I'm pretty sure I just got a couple bad bulbs. The dome light won't light up at all, and 95% of the time the map light won't light up at all, the other 5% of the time it rapidly flickers (like for a week straight, then it doesn't turn on again for a month)

The other 194 has worked flawlessly the entire time, just one of them is busted.

Either way I'll certainly be looking for other options in the future. The issue was I needed to replace the bulbs, not "troubleshoot" for 5 months.

The only interior lights I run are VLEDs footwell lights and Meso dual color map lights.

I will say the DD SS3 Max fogs and SS3 Pro ditch lights in yellow paired with the oem LED headlight conversion are the best exterior lights I've ever used in any vehicle so far.

I try to stay out of discussions about DD, because I have had pretty poor experiences with just about everything I’ve used by them. Thank the lord they had good return policies so I could offload almost everything I tried by them. A lot of people have good success with their standalone lamps, like the pods and such, so I won’t go into details on those. I didn’t have that experience, but anyways.

To get to the main point of my comment: their bulbs, in my opinion, are complete trash. The big ones like tail light bulbs fall out of sockets. Their powerful ones like the bright 921 reverse bulbs cause radio interference with other items on the truck. Their dual mode bulbs like tail lights and parking lamps are too bright on low mode and not much brighter on bright mode. They are junk, and they will not do anything about it. They will just continue to sell the same thing and accept returns when people don’t like them.

Go with VLEDS to replace your bulbs or go back to stock and never look back.

I love my VLED foot light's :) I have the door handle light's too (Meso?) and those two really tie the truck together.

I've never had an issue with them until now, I've used them in every vehicle I've owned for a long time. But yeah, this is ridiculous, having me "troubleshoot" for 5 month's. I replaced the defective bulbs with non defective ones and it worked. Troubleshooting over.

A few more month's of getting dicked around and they'll start telling me I'm outside the warranty period...

Washing my hands of this. They wanted to keep all of my $20 instead of honoring their warranty. Well they can keep it, but I'm going to be telling my story any time they come up in conversation for *years*.

That is frustrating. I had mostly good customer service from them, although the final straw for me was when I ordered SS3 Max pods for fog lights on my frontier, the lights effectively killed my radio stations and key fob distance. If the lights were still on (auto off) after truck shutdown, I could not lock the truck from even 10 feet away, they interfered that bad. That itself is annoying enough but the final straw was them telling me the solution was to buy ferrite chokes to put on the fog light wires to solve the problem.

    1. $550 lights shouldn’t need ferrite chokes to not cause radio interference to begin with.
    2. I just spent $550 on the lights, please send me ferrite chokes for free if that’s what I need.
    3. Reading other forums where other people had the same problems, ferrite chokes didn’t solve the problem anyways.
    4. the lights physically didn’t fit the frontier very well. The way they mounted was not very secure and anything hitting the light (just water from a water hose) pushed the light backwards and out of place, which required opening the fender liner and reseating it.

I boxed them up and sent them back. I loved the light output and color tone, hands down the best light from a visual output standpoint, but my trusty Rigids outperformed them quality wise in every way possible, so I had to say adios.

My issues with their bulbs are mostly all exterior. I just think their bulb lineup is poor quality in general and the light output for things like turn signals is terrible. The interior bulbs are fine but if they don’t last within warranty then that isn’t great. I didn’t keep any of it long enough to get there.

    Hey there,

We’re really sorry to hear about your experience—that’s definitely not the level of service we aim to provide. Our customer support team works hard to set the standard in the industry, and no one should be waiting that long for a resolution.

Many of our products come with hassle-free warranties (ranging from 3 years to lifetime coverage), and we strive to make the replacement process as smooth as possible. After checking with our customer service team, we weren’t able to find any information on this case—did you purchase directly from us? If so, we’d love to look into this further. Do you happen to have the name of the team member you were working with? Most issues like this can typically be resolved in just a few minutes over the phone with our live support team at HQ.

Also, we actively monitor over 50 forums and 1,000 Facebook groups to stay on top of customer feedback and ensure the best experience possible. Let us know how we can assist, and we’d be happy to help!

I mean, stock bulbs burn out too. I’m fine with stock for most things but some things are fine to change.

    Thanks for reaching out!

I've relayed this information to our customer service team. Our records show that they replied in both September and February, but it's possible the emails landed in spam. Those emails included troubleshooting steps before arranging a warranty replacement, such as swapping bulbs side by side, checking polarity, or inspecting the bulb connections.

Steve from our team should be giving you a call soon to follow up and apologize for any miscommunication and arrange a refund. We take pride in providing top-tier customer support, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

As a general note for others, all of our customer service is handled in-house at our HQ in St. Louis, MO. Our knowledgeable team works hard to respond promptly—often the same day—and answer calls within seconds whenever possible.

Thanks again, and our team will be in touch shortly!

Gotta give credit where credit is due.

    They did right by me.

Dunno if it's because I went public or because we spoke on the phone, but they refunded me for the entire order (~$31.40) instead of just for the defective items ($15-$20) which was a surprise and unnecessary.

If you have issues, hit them up on social media, or call them I guess, Skip the emails.
