And really, no one will notice this but I wanted to see how it'd look

I taped off the "mold" on the two doors and painted that a solid black as well

    20250224_174852.jpg

Looks way better in person, I don't even wanna run it

    Right

It's sort of what I wanted to do for the first body. Glad I did the rainbow vomit first and got it all beat up.

I want to keep this one pretty a bit longer than the first.

3Flow9 tie rod and drag link setup looks good, but I think I need to get rid of my Reefs RC servo.

Turning left, my steering is limited due to the hardware hitting the raised face on the servo.

    20250225_083351.jpg

This occurs with either the Hard Park drag link, or 3Flow9 included link.

    20250225_083409.jpg

Unless I just stack an o-ring in hopes that it offsets it enough where the servo horn sits...

Shocks arrived last night, and my tires and transmission arrive today.

I noticed you have your servo horn in front of the drag links on your builds, which of course moves weight forward, this is good.
But, most servo's at that angle are gonna be limited with the drag link behind it, hitting the top of the case.
Maybe better to move the servo back and attach to the front of the horn?

The shocks allow enough compression to allow maximum tuck.

If I move the servo back, it'll hit the front tray on compression. I only know this because your suggestion did occur lol apparently the 3Flow9 is a bit smaller and would be perfect for this install.

But I hate having parts go to waste :annoyed:

No worries on that, you eventually collect enough for another build.
I'm literally one RX and ESC away from a 3rd build...

    Had taken these yesterday.

    Shocks extended

    20250225_073341.jpg

    Shocks compressed

    20250225_073416.jpg

They actually give me more range of movement than the big bore shocks on the other rig!

I've already got th Valkyrie kit coming

Although once I run the Dementor a bit, I may put it down and use most parts for the new kit.

I don't want three fully built comp rigs!

    @Deathbysnusnu

So, I placed an order on the 3Flow9 torrent servo

Only to get an email reply from 3Flow9 confirming that yes, my order for their tie rod and drag link setup was indeed for a M1.4 pivot ball.

So why do I bring this up?

Well apparently, the M1.4 pivot ball is recessed to allow the bolt head to sit inside the pivot ball as shown.

M1.4 on the left, M2 on the right -

    1000022655.jpg

My drag link accidentally included M2 on both ends -

    20250225_115634.jpg

    Simple mistake is all!

So I'll be getting an M1.4 pivot ball for my drag link and now I'll have an extra servo with horn

Might as well keep it for the Valkyrie build and go 4WS :anonymous:

That is really cool that the manufacturer already had that figured out. I never would have guessed such a thing existed.

    Me neither!

But the reason that prompted me to ask is because I specifically use an M1.4 threaded servo horn. I did this on purpose because I remember it being an issue when I had it installed on the Meus axles. The Meus drag link pivot cup only allows M1.4 whereas the Reefs RC comes with M2 hardware and horn.

Anyway, I noticed the M1.4 bolt would sit loosely inside the pivot cup and I did inspect and notice both ends were M2. I didn't think much of it until I ran into the physical stop and decided to inquire in case the pivot ball sat inward maybe in relation to the mount it sits in?

That's when I learned about the recessed design so yeah, I didn't realize it existed.

Tie rod and drag link will get installed when the new M1.4 pivot ball arrives.

Who knows, I might just use the 3Flow9 servo instead.

Just received my steering servo today. Charging up a battery currently to get some initial testing. Will report back. This is my current weight without body on

Ooooh shit, those are sexy numbers.

Got a damn near 60/40 and great left/right numbers too.

    That's the Nacho chassis right?
