I just got an email telling me no one was home to sign for the helmet so they didn't deliver! BS! My fiancee works from home so don't give me that shit! Called her, she said she'd seen a Fed Ex truck earlier so she left the front door open with just the screen door closed. Never heard anybody at the door. No door tag left behind as email said would be there. Called Fed Ex and after fighting through their BS auto answering nonsense finally got a human. She's going to try to contact the driver and have him return and try this again if possible.

I am highly pissed off at this point. :annoyed:

And here I was gonna be nice and refrain from rubbing our weather in their faces lol.

Hope you all had a good weekend. Had a great time at the track all weekend. Took both bikes but only rode the R3 since I want to get racing on that one I figured it would be best to focus on it. rear stepped out once but recovered, and I cut the track on the dirt once but kept it up lol.

took @Wyckedan 's advice and paid to have some 1 on 1 coaching with one of the instructors on Saturday which helped immensely, both in helping learn turn in points, giving confidence in more throttle into and out of turns, and overall physics of the bike in motion. Definitely humbling watching the instructor take turns lackadaisically while it felt like i was fighting for my life to keep up haha. once the pics come in I'll post a few.

I did skip the last two sessions of the second day, was pretty tired and also got in my head about a few things. Throughout the weekend, there were at least 6 crashes, 2 of which resulted in 3 people getting taken to the hospital. 2 ambulances, 1 life flight. Then right before I went out for my last session I thought I discovered an oil leak on the R6 despite it just sitting all day. couldn't stop thinking about it while on track, then when I came back in i figured out I overfilled the gas, and it was dripping out the breather tube onto some chain goop. i'm a dummy lol but better than the alternative.

To top off the weekend, all the lights on the Kendon trailer I bought went out on the 4 hour drive home except one corner marker. that was stressful. Hoping it's just bulbs since it's kind of old, otherwise idk where to even take that to get it fixed as I know nothing about electrical, and the wiring harness is snaked through the inside of the trailer frame.

I'll post up some pics of the weekend soon

Trailer wiring is super simple. First things first check the plug on at the truck 90% of the time its the connection at the bumper thats corroded, jam it in and out a few times to scrape all the connectors together.

Next check the trailer ground wire near the tongue, you cant rely on the ball / hitch to provide a good consistent ground.

I'll definitely take a look. 3/4 lights were working on the way out, so i can't imagine corrosion is the issue but i'll test it out.

Honestly this might be a good entry into learning some basic electrical stuff as well. Oh did I mention the 3rd brake light on my GFC also went out a couple weeks ago? Still waiting on them to ship me a new light since it was only $20 i figured I start with the cheapest option.

I also got out for a quick ride to the beach before starting to prep for COTA. So far, the list is looking like: new front tire, chain, fluids and LOTS of cleaning. Bike is as stripped as it’s going to get and I’ve already cleaned the front brakes. The brake line fittings and banjo bolt were pretty nasty but cleaned up nicely. I may need another can of parts cleaner

I have had this happen before with FedEx. Every problem with shipping I have ever had was with them. Sometimes they are super busy and just pass by you to get the day done. Shitty people sometimes.

I road 4 miles today lol. I finished up the Harley cam swap. Fired up and checked for leaks (none) so went around the block. Then adjusted the carb when I got back. It’s all good to go now. Well except the front tire was flat when I took it off the lift. I may need to either put in a new tube or seal the spokes and go tubeless.

I think ALL the shipping companies are swamped with all the online shopping. Crazy job I wouldn’t want.

Just went out and checked the front tire and it was down 6psi over night. I ordered some 3m sealer. I will get the front wheel done then do the rear when I get a chance.
