If it makes you feel better, I’ve been sending them the past two years. I had my tax guy figure out what I needed to do, calculated the offset and had them withdraw the difference. Fingers crossed this year is break even or lightly overpaid. When the kids grew up and the house was paid, it became “I owe, I owe, of to work I go!”

You can chunk some money into an IRA to reduce yer taxable income. We do that each year (our tax gal tells us how much to contribute) and we avoid paying at the end of the year.

I’m already there, but had to back off. I was doing deferred comp, but advisor said you’re not near your next tax bracket, so why offload to a mediocre investor. (I think it broke even or near it after fees). I’m making 17-20% with advisor. So killed deferred. I’d be investing but daughter getting married and oh god is THAT expensive (now AND later).
