My c 1988 Ritchey Ascent Comp. Now vintage Deore XT. This was made back in the day when Tom was still brazing the main triangles himself. It gets ridden once in a while still.

This is it in 1991. Not much change since then -- new rims and tires, new saddle, and most of the time SPD-SL pedals.

My c 2005 KTM Teramo. Brought home as a souvenir one time from a trip to Europe. This is my all-conditions commuter/anything bike. Suspension front and seatpost, Magura hydraulic rim brakes, front and rear lights with generator hub, mudguards, racks, chainguard, Schwalbe Marathon tires. It's a heavy SOB, but dayum, it's a good ride in any weather on any road or gentle path.

Upgrades to saddle, seatpost, chainset, front & rear lights, and generator hub (Shimano to Schmidt-SON) since this image in 2008.

I like my QuikR rack, here in an image from 2022.

What’s up guys. Looking for recommendations on some kid bikes. I’m newer to the sport got myself a yt jeffsy during covid and my little guy has been asking to ride with me. He’s currently on a 16” guardian which he’s about to out grow so I’m doing some research ahead of time. I went to a trek bike spot and found the wahoo20” fit him pretty good. Does anyone recommend anything else. I found the commecal ramones, the riprock from specialized and the Marin. Anything helps thanks guy

It’s hard to go wrong with any of the big brands these days. And realistically with kids if they love the color and that makes them more interested in riding then that’s a winner.

I got my son one of these bikes from Forthbikes a little over a year ago when he was 4 (almost 5). It was the smallest geared bike I could find that didn't cost close to a grand. It's been a solid bike for him. He was barely tall enough for it at first but since then it's only fit him better since then. There are a few others on that site you can check out as well.

Literally you’re not wrong. He did not like the ohlins yellow on the commecal which I love debating on painting my jeffsy that color

After almost 9 years on my Jekyll a deal came along I couldn’t refuse…6th gen Fuel ex. It crushes me that my three main bikes are all Trek, I would like to gravitate to the smaller brands. They were all purchased used, so that helps me sleep at night.
I’ve had it since January and still haven’t ridden it yet, finally allowing myself to get excited about it, new tires due tomorrow.

This year has had a lot of really great deals on new bikes. A lot better than in the pandemic period.

    Congrats on the new ride!

This is Nucking Futz! Yesterday, I watched what passed for "practice" which was finding some gaps between pedestrians and definitely not the whole course. Since a part of the course went through a house, I'm guessing most of that course was the first time for everyone!

    Yeah.
Haha, those are always awesome! They've gone through houses before, but I think there were years where they didn't. Always cooler if you can go through a house. Lots of cool features. That was so smooth on the stairs. I did some stairs once on my old Iron Horse 7point7, and it was smoother than I thought it would be but not that smooth.

Thanks! It was a good ride today. Little sketchy in the rain and wooden features though.

That looks sweet. Let us know how you like those roost bars. Flexy?

Here's my Norco Optic. Great bike. Just waiting to ride it. Road biking until the trails dry out, and doing desert trips of course. 60 degree weather makes me sick of skiing.
