Nice springtime weather day here. I’m headed out with a buddy to enjoy it.

The sound of the trash truck getting close to the house and the realization that I didn't put the trash out isn't the best way to start the day, but I'll be dammed if I'll be 'that guy' who runs out trying to catch the truck.

Best of luck with the repairs, hopefully none of the control arm mounting tabs got bent. Toyota didn't exactly make those areas very stout.

They did, I am going to try and bend them back and put a tack behind them. Otherwise I have to chisel them off and weld a better one on.

 

Not the cheapest option, and lots of welding

 

What kind of UCA do you have?

 

I used this delete kit on my Taco, but I don't think I'd use it unless I had SPC UCAs to fine tune the alignment.

76° currently at 1050. projected high is 79°

 

Then you should consider the cam tab delete. There's no welding, you just need a large socket and wrench. I think they were 28mm or 1 1/8" and torqued to about 250#. I never had anther issue with my LCAs moving after I put that kit on.

 

That, of course, is probably the way I will go.

I also have a hexagonal cam that will not move, if the front tab stays

 

I've seen a similar product that requires you to remove the stock alignment tab then weld in the 1/4" plate in it's place. The thickness of the plate becomes the new surface that the adjustment cam rides on. Very labor intensive, but it now becomes stronger than the tabs from the frame that they attach to.
