I've been looking and already found one thing I'd like to have, some long reach needle nose pliers. I have one pair at work, need some at home.

 

Those things are handy! Especially the double jointed ones that can open wide when they are in narrow spaces.

 

Intrawebz tell me the average MAC franchise owner does 450k gross sales y2y, 54k average salary on a 12% profit margin. Take it fwiw.

 

The ones I have at work are double jointed, the MAC ones I'm looking at aren't.

 

I'm guessing the sales person has to furnish their own truck, etc. Wonder how many miles they average a year?

Yeh lots of info out there about franchising tool trucks, 24% failure rate within 3 years. It takes 60-180k to get going, seems like it's really about how hard you want to push and how personable you are. I'm sure everybody wants a t shirt and hat every time you see them. Just can't do that every time.

 

You gonna need a decent scanner to keep that VW running...

 

I bet it would be a tough business to get started in and you got to stay at it to make any money.
