Yes. He doesn't trade for face value though, I'm guessing they sell and get a certain percentage of cost.

I've been looking and already found one thing I'd like to have, some long reach needle nose pliers. I have one pair at work, need some at home.

Those things are handy! Especially the double jointed ones that can open wide when they are in narrow spaces.

The ones I have at work are double jointed, the MAC ones I'm looking at aren't.

I'm guessing the sales person has to furnish their own truck, etc. Wonder how many miles they average a year?

Yeh lots of info out there about franchising tool trucks, 24% failure rate within 3 years. It takes 60-180k to get going, seems like it's really about how hard you want to push and how personable you are. I'm sure everybody wants a t shirt and hat every time you see them. Just can't do that every time.

I bet it would be a tough business to get started in and you got to stay at it to make any money.

My buddy is getting ready to retire in April. He's been at it 37 years, he's 67.

You never know what will turn up if you look.

Let's say you have a car (or 2,3, ... well, whatever  ) pushing 60 years old and have a question about the wiring.

    20250226_151119.jpg

These super detailed factory diagrams are wonderful, large format too, 11 x 17.

    20250226_151218.jpg

Hopefully I never need them. :fingerscrossed:

I wish they still provided info like that. Back when manufacturers knew people need to work on their vehicles
