    Good Morning!
Any History or Baja buffs out there?

One of my retired-man projects is solving history's mysteries on the California Peninsula (Baja California, Mexico)... It is a place I have been camping and exploring since the 1960s (before 1974, as a passenger in my parent's Jeep). I write books and online articles about travel and history... links at VivaBaja.com.

A recent article was about the 1684 Admiral Atondo/ Padre Kino Expedition, the first (Europeans) to cross the peninsula, from the gulf to the Pacific:
    https://www.bajabound.com/bajaadventures/bajatravel/atondo_kino_expedition

That inspired a friend (who is a few years more senior than I) to recreate the muleback ride. To be of further assistance to him, I made a detailed map-webpage (satellite and topo maps) of the estimated route: https://vivabaja.com/atondo-kino/

My 113 (so far) Baja Bound Travel Adventure articles, by category: https://vivabaja.com/baja-travel-adventures/

Have a great day and please share what your hobbies are or senior projects!

Addendum to Shelter Valley Camping outing.....there is a real llve old school working outhouse in camp. Camp owner and host told me they recently had to rescue a rabbit that had somehow gotten into the outhouse and had fallen into the 'vat" and had to be rescued. He said that indeed, Sh*t does stick to fur! Rabbit must have sought refuge from a coyote and had somehow run into the outhouse and fallen in.

Three weeks out from the left knee replacement. Doing well and progressing on schedule. PT is a PITA but it must be done. The PT therapist told me to bring a cane to the next session tomorrow. The time needed each hour for exercises does not leave much free time.

    Morning 60+ :hattip:
Had my first bad experience donating blood yesterday. Took about 8 steps off the table and had to sit down . Next thing I know I’m waking up with someone holding an ice pack on the back off my neck .Passed out  Sweating profusely and my calf’s were cramped up bad . I assume I must have been dehydrated. They also had to move the needle around in my arm so that’s sore and bruised.

    Morning all:

Just starting to try to get some spring projects done, got the big pine branch cleaned up yesterday after getting the garden tractor started. It's raining now, so I'll try to get to a couple of the smaller inside jobs that are on the list!

Good to hear that all is going well with the knee Tom.

Bill, what they didn't tell you is that they took a gallon instead of a pint , glad that you were sitting down when it happened and didn't end up with any injuries.

Another :fingerscrossed: for the wife Mark, hopefully they can figure out what the problem is.
