I have the powered version with backup camera and I like it, so I don't know if this will work for me, but it's a damn fine idea.

Unfortunately Bird Dawg no longer exists but there is someone making a new version for sale currently. I can't find the thread so you'll have to search for it but it's so worth it to get the mirror up and out of the way.

It's become the only thing that bugs me about the truck. I'm tall enough that I shouldn't fit comfortably, but I do, except the damn mirror right in the middle of my vision. Thanks for the tip, I'll hunt it down.

I have an aftermarket head unit, pioneer nexXXXXX. I set it up so the backup camera is always on, except when I fiddle with music or navigation. Daytime it works perfectly. In the morning, if the windows are fogged, the camera will also be fogged, needs a quick wipe off. Nighttime it’s soso, about all I can see is headlights.

You could get a glue to the windshield thing at an auto parts store. The one I bought came with some cleaner & glue. It stayed on until I got rid of the car I put it in.

You mean, so I could detach and reglue the mirror in a better spot? That's probably the best idea.

Custom console between rear seats (second battery, charger, and inverter in there). Definitely an upgrade. But my favorite upgrade has to be the kid's car seat.

The JessicaAlba heat/AC control dials. It’s nice being able to see where the controls are set at in the dark

Have you tried carefully adjusting the arm all the way up? I did this with mine and it helped considerably.

Be careful. I did manage to flip mine upside down but in the process heard a cracking glass sound. It hasn’t fallen off yet.

oh exactly! I actually held the mount at the glass very firmly and levered the arm against that pressure.

I did move it up casually, but felt like it was up against something, so I didn't exert any real pressure on it. I'll take a closer look, even an inch would be really good for me right now without having to spend any money. It's 12 years old so maybe it just needs a little persuasion to go farther.
