Of all the cars you've ever owned, which is your favorite? Is it your Taco, or another car? Tell us about it :)

Mine is a 2013 G37xS. A blast to drive, love the interior, sound system needs minimal if any upgrades... and it's a nice slate blue that I love.

It's my Taco... but I've only ever owned 2 vehicles. The 1996 Chevy Cheyenne my parents gave me after college, and the Tacoma I bought new in 2011. I guess the car my wife brought to the marriage counts... but it's a Chevy Cruze Diesel and I don't really care about it, lol.

I know people who have owned a hundred different cars... but I'm definitely not one of them, lol.

Haha fair enough. I know some people who've had the same car since I met them a decade ago, and others (cough, my nephew) who change cars like I change my underwear. I fall somewhere in the middle I guess. Myself, over the course of about 30 years since I started driving, I've had 10.

For me, its about the cars I let go & should have kept...
    1972 datsun 240z
1991 ford mustang lx hatchback 5.0 / fox body
You young guys wouldn't appreciate the nostalgia of those 2 vehicles...

Ive also had a 1990'ish 95??? single cab toyota truck
    1995 mustang gt
    2004 mustang gt

    my first car…
Given to me by my parents, put a used transmission in it while on my back at 14-15 years old , no help…
    1972-74? Volvo 145 station wagon….

    im not that old, 51-52 I think….

Car would be my 2000 Civic Si
Truck would be my 99’ Tacoma

As for most fun, but not my favorite.
Probably my 99’ Lightening. Mostly because it was a sleeper.

I’d take back my 99’ Tacoma if I could get any one of the 13 vehicles I’ve owned.

Surprisingly my old '07 P71 Crown Vic. More nostalgia more than anything considering I got it two days before my daughter was born and owned it longer than any vehicle I've had. Put 60k miles on it but sold it because I didn't have time or space to fix it. Stupid decision. Like riding a sofa down the highway and it had the 3.55 rear so it wasn't a TOTAL pig. Loved that car.

All the others I had my fun and let go either from necessity or sensibility.

Love my Tacoma though, no ragerts.

Almost 40 vehicles in my history...and this is the one I never should have gotten rid of.

2011 F150 FX4 (when it was a trim level, not a package). Custom ordered it and checked all of the option boxes because it was the "last truck I'll ever buy". That was 7 trucks, 2 suvs and 3 motorcycles ago.

I have had a ton of vehicles , my 77 bronco was my favorite .
Also loved my 60 something Corolla wagon , my two 64 Corvairs.
This little Tacoma I have may end up being the one.

My all time favorite, still own it 1985 4Runner. The vehicle I don’t own anymore and wish I had back 2000 Tacoma 5spd extra cab, I loved that truck but couldn’t afford it after leaving the military and struggled to find a good enough paying job.

I've owned a 71 Mustang and a 72 Cougar, both V8 automatics, but the funnest car that I have owned is a 1982 Pontian Trans Am. The car only had a 305 V8 but it was a 4 speed manual, positraction and 4 wheel disk brake and T-Tops. The car was bright red with a black interior and I owned it from 1985 to 1990. I put in a 500 watt system, which was big back in the day, with dual 12" Fosgate woofers and Fosgate amps. I was in my early 20s when I bought it and had the mullet, yes mullet, to go along with the car. LOL The pic attached is before I lowered it and added Centerline wheels.

AND... to be honest, this pic is not my car. It is identical though.

This makes me curious.. what made you let it go? Reliability issues or something?

I’ve had a slew of motorcycles and cars over the years but I’ll always have a special place in my heart for the 82 Datsun 280z. It was my first car. Rolled off the assembly line in July of 82, just like me. I keep an eye out for them but I can’t justify the cost when they do pop up in reasonable condition.

No pics anymore but favorite car without hesitation was my 1971 Dodge Challenger. Bought is as a 318 V-8 with a 904 Torqueflite automatic and 8-3/4" rear. Was in a minor accident that took it off the road for a while and allowed me to do what I wanted so it went back out as a 340 bored .030 over with a hotter cam and hi rise 4 barrel intake with a 650 cfm Holley carb on top, headers, and electronic ignition. A manual valve body 727 Torqueflite and 4:30 positraction rear end. Would get into the high 12's on a quarter mile track.

Wish I'd never sold it but found I enjoyed 2 wheel travel more than 4 and it was way cheaper to go fast on a bike that still got good fuel mileage.
