I nearly did because I couldn't hear the toaster oven tell me my bagel was done haha. But what's the worst that could happen anyway... I set off the smoke alarm.

It's a giant heaping pile of shit with barely enough power to warrant all the fuel it consumes. Has all the power of a 3RZ and all the fuel consumption of a 2000s V8 and it will blow headgaskets repeatedly. If you're buying one with an auto expect everything to be excruciatingly slow. If you're buying the vehicle because you like it... consider swapping to a 5VZ when the 3VZ inevitably leaves you stranded. DONT TRADE A TACOMA FOR A SECOND GEN RUNNER, THEY'RE THE METH HEAD COUSIN OF TOYOTAS

Them - I think I'll call, it seems they have a defective part

Me - That part isn't known to be defective, it's usually the end-user when they jog and slam their Z-axis all the way up or down

Also me - Plus you're using marine grease so you're getting all that metal dust and crud sticking to it creating a thick, metallic gel

He took it apart and there's tons of crud with a gel-like crud causing his coupler to catch and open up the switch since it's a floating head design

That’s a big 10-4, rubber ducky. I’d rather cram a 5vz into my single cab if I wasn’t still breaking in the 3rz

Will your next phase be as a leatherworker or seamstress?

What's the progression so far, Marine, car dealer, baker, welder?

The leather job is definitely gonna be a one-time deal and that's it.

Although, the leather I ordered is coming in at 16sq.ft so technically I'd be able to make 3 stool cushions :anonymous:

Just ordered some qualux foam too so we'll see how it works out. Went for 13.5" round and 2.5" tall.

I'll be all-in for about $120 give or take unless I go high-end casters which, isn't necessary.

The CVT transmission in my wife's Nissan Sentra started acting funny (CEL P2895). She came home and said it wouldn't shift into 4th gear which made me laugh a little on the inside but in her defense the CVT has fake shift point to make you believe it's shifting between gears. Car has a little over 130k miles which seems to be about the life span of the trans. found the dipstuck hidden underneath the coolant reservoir only to realize it's just a stubby pretend dipstick / glorified cap so I have no idea what the fluid level is.

I've heard lots of negatives on this transmissions and there are several listed locally for next to nothing because they need transmission work. The cars probably only worth 4500 (in working condition) and a reman trans is close to 2k so I'm not sure if I want to put money into it or just use this as an opportunity to upgrade her to something with a little more space and possibly AWD.

It's probably not a crazy difficult job and it looks like replacing the valve body could work but Im not a fan of trying to work underneath these little cars without a shop lift.
