I unfortunately have some bent plastic body pieces from a hit and run and ice falling off of my apartment roof. The grille surround has a very shallow dent from ice and the bumper cap is slightly bent up towards the tail light. The truck is so new that I want to fix them at this point. I have spoke to some PDR and auto body places and they have said they cant do much with plastic pieces. I have heard of the boiling water/heat gun method and I am wondering if that is applicable to bend these pieces back or if that only works for major dents. Thanks. IMG_3388.jpg IMG_3361 (1).jpg

Sorry, this is the 1st gen forum. We don't know what to do with plastic body parts.

    Try an Automotive Heat Gun

same premise as a hair dryer
    But
Will blow a hole thru your skull bc so hot

    not expensive
    Takes some finesse
Heat up plastic, pressure to shape you want
Careful, will melt the plastic and the paint

    Lol

There might be access behind that grille, you will need to heat it up and massage the dent out from the underside. I doubt boiling water will do anything.

Harbor frieght has a decent heat gun for $20? Just be careful, a heat gun will melt that
