Come on over. Just so you know, Illinois has a bunch of new bills in legislation that’s going to fuck shit up, regarding hunting and land access.

I guess this would fall under "Your Tax Payer Dollars" at work. Why does State Government like this, continually try to fuck up shit, that's been doing fine for years.

    :notsure:
have you ever considered running for office?? :101010: That’s another silly part, largely unenforceable.. like most things they just try to figure out how to make the most dollars it would seem. I’m all for protecting the species but it gets a little out there, and to regulate the general sportsman or everyday people, I don’t have the numbers to support my claim and could be wrong but it’s hard to believe it is us and not things such as commercial fishing with a greater impact on fish populations.. anyways sorry for all the fish talk!

All I’ve seeent is one flattop lately but haven’t been in the woods much :notsure:

edit: not that I’m necessarily against commercial fishing, respect the shit out of hardworking people that do that, also heavily regulated but again the rules they try to impose on general enthusiasts is at times just wild.

A couple of Pennsylvania congressmen/senators are trying to change the gun season opener back to the 'traditional' Monday after Thanksgiving instead of the Saturday after turkey day. Part of the reasoning is loss of income to local fundraisers (fire depts, etc) and lost revenue to local stores (mom & pop places) during the weekend. I quit after 2019 when they first switched to Saturday - all the 'NEW' hunters I encountered were assholes. The original reasoning for the switch was 2 fold: get more young people hunting (hasn't really happened) and increase adults so they don't have to take off a day of work (must not be too dedicated to hunting if you can't afford a vacation day or 2).

After reading some comments online, youth hunters haven't increased - so much for dad taking junior out without him missing school. And, in my mind the biggie - resident adult licenses are still decreasing, but NON-RESIDENT adult licenses are up (more $$$$ in the Game Commission's pockets). Most adjacent states have the Monday as their opener, so you can hunt Pa. on Saturday but still hunt your home state on Monday! Wish the GC would just come out and say it is "all about the $$$" and I would accept that as the reasoning.

Sorry for the rant, but if they change the opener back to Monday, the Pa. Game Commission will get my $101+ (or whatever the cost is now) starting this fall and my son may go too (another $101+). I don't have a problem missing Ohio's gun opener and never had one.

The one that pisses me off the most is that anyone can walk in or along any creek or waterway. I can see people getting hurt over that Bull shit. The way I see it, if you want a creek to walk in or go rock hunting in then, ask for permission or buy your own fucking land. Can I use my neighbors pool without permission because I don’t have one, I don’t think so.
