Passed 30,000 miles so it was time to change the fluids in the front and rear differentials, the transfer case since I was under it anyways, and changed the oil. Also did the front diff bolts upgrade. Was worried that drain bolt was over torqued due to reading some of the horror stories here but it came out with no issue.

Taking it to go get some new tires; replacing the Goodyear Wranglers it came with and getting a 5th tire since I'm also replacing the steel spare with an extra rim I bought back during a Black Friday sale.

Stock studs conical lugs. There's reduced thread engagement but not too the degree I'm concerned. My ssw's on the other hand i have been a little sketched out by the lack of thread engagement

It’s called ‘poetic license’ wise guy. And my nails are fine. Always keep them cut short and strong in case of emergencies.

No clue. I think I checked but didn’t log it. They are SL’s so not very tall. Mostly highway miles. Last 5k or so started feeling slippery taking off on wet pavement but otherwise excellent traction and quiet ride still

Had been looking at new wheels and tires for my son’s ‘20 SR5. Decided to go with the Toyota SR5 special edition wheels in black and he wanted Falken Wildpeaks AT4W, stayed stock 265/70/16. He’s very happy with and I think looks great.
    Just for FYI
Local dealer wanted approx $2000 for wheels, center caps and black lugs. I had used Lewis Toyota in Topeka Kansas last year when I purchased my Pro with the Black Friday sale and bought a bunch of items for good deal. Called them on this, $800 for all including shipping. Dealt with Hunter.
Tires, used All Weather Tire Pros in Huntington NY, I believe great deal, fast and great customer service. Dealt with owner Jimmy Sr. I’m no expert but tires seemed to balance well, and no issues with highway speeds.

that’s been my experience here in central pa for the past 50 years, those vehicles that get winter use, then stored in a heated garage typically see salt corrosion sooner than those left out in freezing weather over many winters.

Got my shoes rotated. Was tempted to pay $81 (+ 7% government-overreach) for one-piece lugs to replace the OEM 2-piece lugs. I watched a DT technician who had a full shop of tools take 30 minutes to remove just one of the two-piece lugs from my Corolla when the outer-part broke from the inner part.

Those poor bastards are under paid. I know they are not all master techs but damn, in the summer when it’s hot as hell here in NC, forget about it!
