Oh there will be some mods all right
I'm assuming mine are just because of the fact that their design makes seizing almost a given if they aren't removed and covered in anti-seize. The reason I asked @CygnusX191 if the hardware is the same is I have a full set off of a Tacoma laying around and it would be great if it could be repurposed for a 4Runner

Windows security won't let it load. Most likely because it's a Chinese driver from 2015. I can load it if I turn Windows security off, but then I can't turn Windows security back on. That's the package I downloaded. I guess I'll have to talk to tech support...tomorrow...banker's hours.

I do still have my old laptop that I could load it on for now.

Sorry, after posting realized that I have Driver Signature Verification disabled on that machine. Would not recommend this to you. Your old LT might be your best bet.

My spare has the old school valve, no TPMS, and there are no problems with the display doing a 5 tire rotate. Though my 4R only shows the low tire icon, not the individual tire pressures. I don't know what dash display the Taco's have.

I think the T4R has a sensor for the spare, my 2nd Gen had one. They did away with the 5th sensor on the 3rd Gen, so now I have to do this dick dance...because I'm too OCD to ignore the dash light.

On my 2nd gen 2013, the spare does not have TPMS in it.

I may be mistaken...I'm getting old...

On another note: Bill Murray was on Rogan Friday. Really good show. Long...2:20. Starts off talking about hanging out with Hunter S Thompson and goes from there.

    Speaking of.......
here's the shackle flip, done with hard on. I thought it was all rust until I wiped it clean. Could use another topcoat layer but it's holding up nicely.

Did you get the mil gauge they sometimes send? Supposed to put that sheet on THICK. Like 3 mm thick minimumish.

No. I didn't get the gauge. I use 3,5,6,8 and 10mm allens, regularly. Good at guesstimating. :)
I slop it on good. That's why I like it.
No need to be silky smooth with it, just lay it on there.

The hidden receiver looks excellent, of course, that doesn't get hit with the elements.
