So we got wheeled into adding on a warranty when purchasing our '18 tacoma from a BMW dealer last December. It's a cancel anytime sorta thing, but they tacked on the full amount of the 4 year warranty up front and say they will reimburse if we cancel. After reading through the contract and seeing a long list of what they won't cover, we're left wondering what is covered - to which the finance manager says if it's not listed on the not covered section, then it's covered.

Has anyone purchased a Lithia used car warranty? Is this warranty good for anything??

Can't speak to a Lithia backed warranty, but the advice you will receive from the majority of people is to get a Toyota backed warranty. If you search the forums Jerry's name will pop up out of Kansas I think? Pricing is around $1,200 - $1,500 for a 7/100 or 8/125 warranty. If you can get a prorated refund on what you bought you should come out ahead as I'm sure Lithia charged way more than $1,200.

IMHO, most aftermarket used car warranties are useless. You're better off getting your money back and putting it towards your loan balance, or keeping it in your savings for maintenance costs.

Search Scotty Kilmer's YT channel for his thoughts on warranties.

Meso spare fuse holder. Aluminum gas cap holder. Genuine Toyota bed lights. Bed molle racks. Ammo case storage under hood. In-bed spare tire. Automatic underhood lights. Gooey glurp on frame.
Makes me recall the old National Lampoon used car warranty: This car is fully guaranteed for two years, except parts and labor.

Working on a lien delete for my title…..
I’d be weary of any dealer group warranty.

If you repair your car with the same entity that sold you the warranty, well…….
