Maybe consider shopping in Oregon. Got this email a week ago from Gladstone Toyota. Two 2024 Limiteds for 9K off MSRP. Yes, I know that's a picture of a 3rd Gen Sport.

Santa Barbara here, and if the dealers give me the same trouble they gave my wife on her grand Highlander, I will not hesitate to fly to Oregon or Washington where TRD ORs are in the low 40s. Already checked, i can get a plane ticket for $150, couple of tanks of gas and a day of driving is worth it. However the dealers here are hurting a lot more than a year ago, if they can just come close on price I’d purchase from here.

Wow, you got a great deal! Sounds like you got between 12-15% off MSRP if you paid 56k OTD? I have hold on a 25 OR Premium and got 10% off MSRP.

Also, how were you able to buy an OR with the brake line recall/stop sale in place? Would you mind taking a picture of your rear brake line? Curious to see how it looks. I just made a post earlier today with the brake lines photos from an SR5, OR (2024), and limited.

    Congrats on the new ride!

My VIN wasn't on the recall - the dealership had a rough time selling my truck, it was sitting for almost 3 weeks, so they were pretty motivated to get it off their lot

Glad to hear this one.. best discount I've heard of and same build I'm planning... tho not sure of Terra vs Oxide. I have not found a dealer with Terra in stock for me to look at, but leaning towards Oxide. 750 of add-ons is more than I want... debating the 14" screen... it's 'growing' on me. I hated it at first but might go for it. I'm in Oregon so hoping Gladstone Toyota makes this level deal (they have free lifetime warranty on all their cars so this is a decent bonus).

My addons were inverter (I guess that's factory, not dealer), black badge, black tailgate lettering and all weather floor liners. The only one I didn't want was the floor liners because I'll get huskys for all the mud snow and salt in VT. I do like the black letters and badge on the terra. Will make everything black eventually by taking off OR stickers, painting the edge of the stock rims. I got the 8" screen because the 14" just took over everything visually inside for me when I drove it. It was almost like I couldn't stop looking at it, which would be very bad for my driving and for everyone else's safety.

I purchased a week or so after the recall announcement, so still waiting to receive once the recall is performed. In the meantime TW research is how I alleviate the anxiety.

Here it is still on the lot, pardon the poor quality...

I have a refundable deposit on a 2025 TRD offroad Black DCLB. I was able to get 5% off TSP of $48204 so $45794 before tax and fees. I screwed up by only asking for 5% because they gave it instantly without countering. If I can find another black DCLB TRD OR within 300-400 miles that has minimal add ons I may try to get more aggressive.

Highlight of my weekend was selling my 2009 SR5 with 199,950 miles for $9k. I can't believe it held it's value so well. My 2025 isn't due in for a few weeks. Not a ton of DCLB TRD offroads in black to pick from under 50k TSP. I could talk myself into Underground but I don't want to be disappointed that I settled for 2nd color pick just to save a few thousand dollars.

ask for your deposit back. When they ask why just tell them you found a better deal. See if they are willing to counter.

I could have had a bronze oxide in hand already but made the same choice to hold out for the color I really wanted. I'm the end it's just a few weeks for a truck I hope to keep a decade or more.

I also think during the stop sale is the best time to negotiate. They've got too much inventory and are seeing fewer people through the door while there's a recall pending. My opening offer was $7000 off. One dealer wouldn't get close enough. At the next, the sales associate balked. The manager dealt.

Just in case you hadn't come across this. There's a thread about it. Imperfect, but helpful.

Some outstanding deals are out there, if you can find what you like on the lots.

Just make sure that your OTD isn’t artificially inflated with dealer or port pirate add-ons that you’ll never see a return on resale. Looking at you, Toyoguard “Platinum”, pinstripes, screen protectors…on & on & on…

Otherwise, what feels like a 10%+ bargain may be no more than you financing what the truck should’ve stickered at in the first place…

The Golden Retriever might be mad the sliding back window is smaller than previous Gens but will get used to it.
