Remove the rear bed stickers?

Well, the atmosphere changed/expanded on the subject thread.

It's an individual decision...when reasons are given, that should be the end of it.

But since this is a Forum, there's exceptions to be considered.

 

How is leaving a TRD graphic on your truck "advertising?" Unless you're also peeling the Toyota logo off the grill and popping all the Tacoma badges off the doors, you aren't accomplishing anything; if sticking it to Toyota over "free advertising" is your goal.

Go ahead and turn your Off Road or Sport into something that looks like a low-end SR.

What else do you do to your toys? Do you scratch the logos off your guns? Chip the crown off the dial of your Rolex? Scratch the labels off of your expensive Bourbons?

 

I drink my bourbon in coffee cups.

You seem to be personally offended that there are people in the world that give no damn what people like you think. If you like the stickers or the perceived cred they are getting you, more power to ya. Personally, I think the stickers and emblems are gaudy AF and peeled everything I could off my truck the very day I brought it home. It was purchased for the functionality, not bragging rights. No more V6 emblem, no more 4x4 emblem, no more TRD Off Road stickers. To me, the truck looks cleaner, and that's really all that matters.

 

I think the red/orange looked hideous on my Army Green so I got rid of them. I like the badges on my trucks but I hate cheap looking stickers. When I was buying new ZR2 S10's back in the 90's I never got the bed stickers.

For my Tacoma I parked in the hot sun for a couple hours and they peeled right off. Then I hit it with some 3m adhesive remover and then waxed and buffed.
Boom, like the ugly things were never there!

 

Now it's all nekked.

I don't care what you do to your truck. I'm glad you're happy that it looks like base Tacoma now.

 

I agree with your sentiment only with regards to clothing. I’ve never understood why people buy a particular brand name T-shirt just for the logo when it’s ultimately just a T shirt.

Now, when it comes to vehicles, I’m a purist and I believe Mother Mopar or Father Toyota’s creations ought to be left as intended… for the most part. When it comes to badges, if I’m shopping used I want as close to factory unmolested as possible, so I’m leaving stickers on and as I’m browsing for a particular vehicle I might not even stop to check out a vehicle missing stickers because it’s either not the vehicle I’m looking for or it’s been tampered with.

it was a TACO for a few weeks, but i changed it back because somehow ranger just suits it, but taco doesn't.




i'm still really angry about all the guns i lost in that horrible boating accident.

but i'd never own a rolex because timex does just as good, and they don't mind mud, or real work.

i've never tried bourbon, it always comes off as a prestigious drink for people that debate kerchief square colors and add 'e' onto things to make them sound more sophisticated than they really are.

come to think of it, are you lost? this is an everyman's middling truck forum. all these questions come off like you might've taken a wrong turn at a Ferrari forum.
