No he was laying on the side of the track. They needed to get him off the track and into a medical facility.

 

I have a feeling that the points lost from the lapper incident will end up costing him the championship. It’s going to be close.

 

Kitchen out with broken collarbone and minor back fracture. We’ll see him in the outdoors.

This is the best we have seen Kenny post injury. Excited for him because those late race charges have been hard for him

 

No, he was off the track. But believe what you like. This discussion doesn't seem to be going anywhere, and didn't have much of a point to begin with, so I'm stopping here.

 

Yeah these new charges he's been putting in around the 10 minute mark are a great sign.. now if he can just get to where he has enough left in the tank for another sprint at 2 minutes, I think we could see him string together a few more wins this season.

 

Ok what are everyone’s thoughts on the drama with Daniel Blair and RC?

 

I've said it before and I'll say it again, RC is a trash commentator.

 

It’s pretty strange. It seems like Diffy is a big part of the problem. I’m not a fan of his commentating at all. I don’t really mind RC since he actually knows what he’s talking about in regards to bikes and racing. He’s just not very well educated since he spent his whole life racing instead of in school.

 

Without going down the rabbit hole and having to watch a half dozen 18-40 minute videos how did Diffy get involved? I only have seen the on track video between Blair and RC...

 

Blair put up a video with his thoughts on the issue. It sounds like Diffy got his feeling hurt by Blair complimenting Todd Harris on his commentating skills. The whole thing is really childish.
I never understood why the commentators are always changing from week to week. Just pick two guys and stick with them.

 

I just watched the video posted two years ago with RC clowning on Blair in Arlington. RC is going to have a real tough time walking that back. RC has zero people in his corner at the moment. Reddit is blowing him up as well.

 

From what Blair said Diffy is NBCs guy and caries a lot of weight. He got mad at Blair and it sounds like he was a big reason why Blair got shut out.

 

Nothing worse than seeing a SX helmet with No visor. Looks ridiculous, Sexton has done it 4 weeks in a row.

 

I haven't followed the drama, but Duffy is like Sheheen in my book.. screams at his mic too much. It's possible to convey excitement without assaulting my ears. Blair is one of the best at that, and for that reason alone easily makes my top picks for the booth.

Ricky, well.. Ricky's Ricky. For someone who obviously has a ton of relevant experience, he still manages to come across like a complete buffoon.

 

I've trolled through the Reddit post on the subject but wasn't aware of how Diffy and Blair had really crossed paths. Sheheen was absolutely terrible in the broadcast booth with Scott Russell (who sounded like Huckleberry Hound) during AMA RoadRacing years ago.... One was clueless and the other was an assault to your ears.

I'd be ok without Leigh and RC in the booth. RC is a great racer, but he can't string his sentences together during a live broadcast. Even podcasts he sucks to listen to. Just not a fan of Leigh. He's good at sounding like a pro but I just don't like him.

Blair is awesome behind a mic. The dude does his homework and is quick. Bit too emotional, but I understand it. NBC sounds like a tough place. Sounds horrible to work for them. They still stuck back in the 80s with their style.

Weege, js7, JT, DB, JB, the 2 blonde ladies (I forgot their names) all good in my book. The new blonde lady bugged me last year, but she seemed to get the swing of things this year.

 

Leigh has always been horrible. RC has a 2nd grade reading level. Daniel Blair was always honest and professional on the broadcast, even when Ricky had 3 bud lights in him and started cocking off. Hopefully NBC figures it out for next season, because people have been complaining about RC and Leigh for years. Put RC in more of a GM position with the series, and put Leigh back to calling cars.
