It's funny because I sent them a message today looking for tracking for the light and when they replied, finally, it said out for delivery. Arrived at my door about an hour after they sent the tracking number. Never received an email that it shipped.

Customer service was way better when Zach was running things.

Managed to get a bunch of stuff done today; such productive, much happy:

    Golf cart:

    1) moved the 12v reducer and fuse block to the key switch. Accessories come on when the cart is on; no aux switch. Because of that, I was able to clean up some more wiring in the battery tray.

    IMG_2161.jpg

    2) Going to be removing the light bar that came with the golf cart. Purchased a hitch bracket as that'll probably be the best spot for additional lighting, if needed.

    IMG_2165.jpg

    IMG_2163.jpg

    IMG_2164.jpg

    3) Roof rack lights: yes I swapped out the old roof rack lights for the new Prinsu lights and handles:

    IMG_2162.jpg

    4) lastly, got the hoist installed. I'm going to get the tent on tomorrow and make sure that everything is good. The tape is where I thought it was going to be sitting and it ended up where there's studs. Not bad.

There's something I really love about garage organization.

Got the tent on the hoist. Added some d-rings and ratchet straps for added security. The hoistis rated for 300lbs and the ratchet straps are rated for 1k each.

    IMG_2177.jpg

I was thinking of putting the tent above the truck and it will fit. The thought there was that we could put tote bins up there tent is currently. The only problem is that I feel the RTT would get in the way navigating pulling the hurricane shutters down and putting them back up. That and I can't lower the tent down and drive out because the door is too low.

Now that the tent is out of the way, the SteadyRack bike racks can finally be installed. I ordered these back in September.

    IMG_2173.jpg IMG_2172.jpg IMG_2176.jpg

    These racks are so sick.

Well, I didn't factor in the bottom of the hitch mount bracing.

Still set on it because it's going to clean up the front end so damn much.

Got it all wired up during my lunch break and removed the old light bar. Much, much cleaner. Very happy.

    IMG_2206.jpg

    LSV registration checklist:

    1) DOT windshield (ordered; waiting shipping)
    2) mount windshield wiper (ready to go pending windshield installation)
    3) mount side mirrors (ready to go pending windshield installation)
    4) reflectors (front, side and rear, I believe)
    5) rear license plate mount with light (ordered)

Got a few things done this weekend.. pretty happy.

Had to run to Home Depot for a few unrelated things and picked up some of these. The other weekend when I was swapping out the outlet in the garage, things got..sparky..

    IMG_2220.jpg

I also picked up some reflector stickers for the golf cart. They are needed for LSV registration. Got a cheat sheet online and I'll be getting them on soon.

I'm still waiting for the AS4 DOT approved windshield to ship. Once that's delivered and attached, I can get the rear view mirrors attached and the reflectors.

I completely forgot about the need for a license plate mount for the rear. I was speaking with my neighbor regarding the unrelated Home Depot trip earlier this week and their cart is registered.

The goal was to keep the fishing rod holders, too but the real estate for the grab bar is so slim. The SMV triangle we had was WAY too big to keep the holders and accommodate the plate.

Found a plate mount with an LED light and some SMV stickers. I used the old triangle as a "mount" for the new sticker.

    TL;DR..voila..featuring doge.

    IMG_2224.jpg

Hoping this is sufficient. I have a spare LSV triangle coming just in case it isn't. I've seen smaller LSV's but in case they want it full size, then I'll put it in the bag well. Figured that might not be okay since the grab bar blocks the view. Either way, should be good.

    What a weekend..

Got some new organizers and sized down a lot of stuff.

    IMG_2271.jpg

    After:

    IMG_2270.jpg

All these random boxes all of in one place, now:

    IMG_2274.jpg

Next, cleaning up this nightmare. Not sure if this system wasn't designed for a home over 2500 sq ft. or what but it never worked right. We had the tank replaced 3 times (the one pictured was brand new, but they didn't replace the tank head or even say it needed replacing?) So either the pick up tube was faulty or the head needed replacing or both. New head replacement was ridiculously priced and the only other alternative was a whole new system according to the community plumber.

    IMG_2277.jpg

Quite a few neighbors have had good luck with something different.

    IMG_2285.jpg

We did the math and the monthly cost for a water softener system versus this new system is quite surprising.

Sold the old system on marketplace today to offset the cost; win-win.

The license plate mount was lonely, so, silly goose time.

    IMG_2281.jpg IMG_2290.jpg

So fun story about the golf cart windshield; basically, I got scammed by the vendor. Turns out that the SKU was never on national backorder from January when I placed the order. I have opened a case with PayPal to dispute the charges. I placed a new order with a different, more reputable vendor on Thursday night, received tracking Friday and it'll be here tomorrow. So, yeah. And I still cannot get a tracking number from the scamming vendor that is over 72 hours into "I'll get you tracking in 24 hours".

    It was a good day..

The second order for this windshield arrived today. My case was resolved through PayPal and the original vendor said that the SKU is still out of stock with the manufacturer until April.

    I would disagree....

Queue the "it's been a while" photo dump

    Went to Key West:

While there, we rented a gas powered golf cart; street legal. Two things we learned were (1) definitely made the right decision going with electric and (2) getting our cart registered is a sooner than later priority.

Got home and mounted the side mirrors:

    IMG_2438.jpg

Next is storage. I would like to have an extension cord on board for charging on the go, a small tool kit and a first aid kit. Also, need to have an inverter onboard for the holiday parades in the community.

    Before:

    IMG_2469.jpg

    After:

    IMG_2487.jpg

    IMG_2486.jpg

Pretty happy but would like a cover for the solenoid and wiring below the controller (to the left in photo above).

Used my phone to test the inverter, but will have to give the inverter a go with light strands but the real test is our Christmas tree. Mounted the inverter near the charger.

    IMG_2490.jpg

Found a waterproof case on Amazon and built a replica using CAD and tested:

    IMG_2493.jpg

    Pretty happy with it.

I know the rental carts are not maintained at all but the damn thing shook my fillings loose. Really loud too.

I have been watching some range tests on YouTube where they calculate the cost of charging the cart back up versus the 60+ miles of range you get on the electric cart versus the cost and range of gas and it's pretty impressive.
