Is there anything I should look for mechanically? The CARFAX looks pretty good. It's been a CO truck it's whole life (2 owners) so I'm concerned about rust. I'm in OK, so I haven't looked at it.

    Thank you!

You will be buying a truck that's almost wore out,why bother.
Look for a lower mileage truck.

If it didn’t have that janky front bumper I would say it’s not the best deal but take a look… price is probably $2500 too high.

My 07 has 253,000 miles on it and I plan to keep it for at least another 100,000. But I've put all 253,000 miles on it and know the history. KBB says it's worth $7000-$9000. It's worth more than that for me to keep, but I'd not buy it at that price. At this point mine is a 3rd vehicle. It's driven daily but no longer used for longer trips. I have newer vehicles for that.

The truck in the ad is in better condition than mine. Mine's been used as a truck and has some minor dings and scratches along with fading paint. The interior in mine is dirty, but mine's also a TRD Off-Road auto Double Cab with an automatic. It still runs and drives like new.

I wouldn't pay $9000 for that truck, but if you can get them down closer to $7K and accept the fact that you may well need to pay for some repairs you could do worse.

It's been in a front end crash, I guarantee it. Noone would bolt all that crap onto just the front of a truck. The whole front sits weird. It's had paint. NOPE

    1. Carfax is worthless. Not sure why you're talking about it.
    2. CO puts mag chloride on the road. This causes corrosion. I had corrosion on coated parts living there roughly a year despite the fact I went through additional lengths most people don't to try and stop that such as spray under with a hose, put a garden sprinkler run underneath, and car wash with underbody sprayer. That come to find out supposedly just collects salty runoff and sprays it back on the vehicle.

I would wonder what sort of crack the owner smoked, given the mods to the truck, including that front end. And what appears to be not putting HD bumper front springs, when it has a bumper. It's not guaranteed they smoked crack, but it's a more than 0 chance.

There is no reason you could not buy a truck from an actual owner, so you can talk to them and find out what they've actually done.

If you bought my truck (which, it's not for sale), I'd probably list it privately, and be able to tell, show, or provide paper proof of what I have or have not done.
Sometimes, what happens with places like this, is somebody knows they have a shit vehicle that would be hard to sell. So they walk into a place like this to try and get rid of it, and pray to God whoever's intaking it is cockeyed. Which sometimes happens.

I like how they specifically chose to not lay on the ground, under a high ride height vehicle, to easily take a picture of one of the most important parts of such a vehicle, the frame. Which at the mileage and location would no doubt be a concern. But rather, they took a picture of a $5 plastic engine cover after pressure washing.
It's almost as if they're trying to hide something.

    Now.
    1. These may be million mile vehicles with work. Maybe it doesn't matter.
    2. Maybe the owner loved the hell out of it, and took care of it. However, if that was the case, picture #28 would not have black brake fluid.

I just noticed, crappy headlights (for more money than good ones) tinted on top of that.
    Crack has indeed been involved.

    Let me get this straight,
they got probably thousands of dollars from one front end crash
more than enough to get the nicest bumper on the market, HD springs, and more
    but they did that

    Whoa,

says whoever was driving it crashed front twice
meaning they didn't get hit in the back
rather, they themselves crashed into shit multiple times (possibly)

    Interesting checking the "service records"
    Brakes Plus
    red flag

    Auction
    red flag

says it was stolen in 2013. I think that with these it's a misnomer and really means Gave It Away.
As they have an immobilizer, that is generally not cracked.
Whereas people "forget their keys" which means Gave It Away (could be a reflection of whoever does such a thing)
Very different from a knowledgeable criminal using thousands in tools to steal a new Range Rover locked in a driveway overnight in the UK (actual theft that does not involve putting keys into somebody else's hands)
