It's 3 bulging discs in my lower back that re being aggravated by the Tacoma Seats, I've tried Seat Jackers, seat pads, gel and foam, I've made 800 different adjustments and just cannot drive the thing more than an hour without being in such horrible pain. I can drive our 2015 F150 all day without any issues. I'll be selling off my Bilstein 6112/5160 with Deaver Stage 2 leaf springs, and both 600 and 650lb front springs and Freedom Offroad UCAs sometime in the next week or so. I would make someone a great deal to get help with labor swapping out the suspension. I just need to work on swapping the parts back to stock this week. I love this truck, everything about it, except the seats and seating position.

I understand that having gone through back surgery myself to get comfortable on a long trip can be troublesome

I've just reached the breaking point with this truck, I love it, but the pain isn't worth it anymore. I'm selling all of the parts, putting it back to stock form and trading it in on something I can drive.

Just to piggyback off this, Overland Expo PNW is THE largest overland expo in terms of size and attendance according to my homies with Cali Raised who do the whole expo circuit. They said Flagstaff has the best vibes, but based on sheer size, sales, and attendance, PNW is it.

I have gone the last three years and can confirm it's overwhelming the amount of vendors that are there. You can spend a whole day there and not hit all of them before you get exhausted. I've yet to do any of the classes but man that schedule is full each day of the event. In fact, they usually have multiple classes going on in different places at once.

The size/attendance is really what turns me off on that one. I haven't been, but I was already thinking the NW overland rally was getting crowded, lol. I enjoyed heading up to the BC overland rally last year for a change. Was ungodly hot, but a fun change of scenery, and smaller. More like the NWOR 7 years ago.

But yes, if you want the biggest local show, Overland Expo PNW is it.

From what I understand, NWOR has been shrinking in attendance lately. Part of that was probably from covid and part because they got rid of the motorcycle component due to having too many moto injuries on the tech course. Last year there were about 800 attendees I think.

I think a big part of their shrinkage is the Overland Expo being in Oregon. A lot of people had to choose one or the other, and a lot of people chose the bigger option.

Not sure what you mean by got rid of the Moto component? Did they used to cater more to the adventure rider crowd? I've been 5 times or so in the past 8 years and don't remember it being much different in that regard. I know the Touratech rally is usually within a couple weeks of the NWOR. Were they ever together?

If I understood him correctly, one of the volunteers at NWOR last year said they used to include adventure riding as well, but mentioned a couple people having to get helicopter rides to the hospital.

(I think my first sentence in the comment you quoted was an accidental paste on my part.)

If only. I've talked to folks who didn't have the vacation for both. Or the significant other's approval for both. I wish I had another 4 weeks of vacation... and another $xxxxx.xx dollar to spend on stuff like this each year!

Has anyone had a good experience with a muffler shop in the Seattle area for an exhaust reroute?

My exact reasoning as why I likely won't go to any rallies this year. I get too little vacay to spend it on a field looking at stuff I can't afford, I'll just use it to be on a trail breaking stuff I can't afford...
