Instructions said for maximum strength to mount it ON the existing tailgate which I did. There is nearly zero flex even before you mount it, it’s basically a giant HDPE cutting board.

YMMV. I know the owners, and have had one of these on my last 4 trucks with ZERO issues. It’s probably one of my favorite mods on any platform. Massive increase in utility and durability.

Toyota cut weight in a lot of places on the 4G, one of them is in sheet metal especially the tailgate. Adding this on top makes it stronger especially if you’re loading bikes etc.

Not for the faint hearted. I’ve never owned a Taco that didn’t get the drill or sawzall at some point so here we go. Decked slide!

Did you fabricate that or was it purchased. I have been thinking of doing something similar. Just to make it easier to get stuff in and out under the tonneau cover.

Thanks…looked them up, and way more than I want to spend. But it got me thinking…I already had a slide deck on top of some drawers I built for the 4Runner. I also had a partial sheet of plywood left over from the rear deck I built. Actually, almost perfect size. Was a little longer than needed but still fit in bed. I moved over slides and deck and walla! There is still about 18” from rear of slide to back of bed.

    IMG_20250305_165049890.jpg
It will slide out over tailgate. I’ll need to either cut the excess plywood in back or glue down something non-slip.

No. I have one as well. It goes over the existing cover and mine doesn't sit flush. Because it's so thick, it pushes the OEM bed mat back. Snail Armour is coming put with one for our generation. It may be a better option.

I have been experimenting with some solid machined seat spacers for 4th gen rear bracket for front seats. These are designed with a pocket for the brackets to rest in. Been making seat spacers since 2018. These are pictures from the 1st 2 installations. Due to the new floor design the "other" brand of $50 cheaply made flat washer type spacers will not work like they did in previous gens. My option, when available, should be a better option at ~$40.
1st pair, unpainted, installed with pocket down on the floor mounting "humps":
    IMG_7079.jpg IMG_7080.jpg IMG_7081.jpg IMG_7083.jpg
2nd pair, painted black by customer, mounted as planned with pocket facing up:

What was your timeline for delivery on this? I initially ordered one from Pakrax that looks to be more fitted but have gotten the runaround.

I swapped my RC Fenders out for RokBlokz high clearance flaps. Protection is excellent even with my wide setup. I initially wasn't a fan of the black fenders but think my setup is pretty balanced now. Also wasn't a fan of silver trucks but this Celestial is magic in the right light.

Truck looks great! I’ve got the same truck. Was never a fan of silver vehicles until Toyota came out with this specific silver. I love it so much. Got the same flaps too. Can’t wait for wheels and tires to come in!

Swapped out that ugly round knob for a 3rd gen Pro knob and got the windows tinted with a visor.

How do you like the roof rack? I was looking at this same product.
