I don't know if they do reginal pricig based on where their warehouses are, but Ive been ordering from metalsdepot.com. No one local stocks DOM or HREW. While the local guys have good prices for plate and some other box tubing I use for my business, they charge a fortune to bring round tube in. I ordered 10 sticks from metals Depot about a month ago, and with the shipping charge it came out to $5.20 a foot. Nice having a truck drive it right up to your front door too.

I've seen that stuff mentioned a lot but i don't get how the juice is worth the squeeze. That cost is hard to justify when it's not much more work to do chromoly properly

Same here, Stockcarsteel or various aircraft suppliers for tubing. I'm lucky to find DOM without driving 2 hrs for it and even then they try to talk me out of buying at severely marked up prices o_O

Scot industries in tx, they have a few other locations, only do round tube.

Still suspicious, I haven’t gotten any because I need a project to use it on first

I have some feelings for sure lol
If anyone needs doors they will be for sale
The cab is probably not something anyone will want based on how it was received
Engine will be pulled along with the rest of the drivetrain/differential
So if anyone needs a 25k mile motor with transmission and transfer case, I will be selling as is.

frame will go to scrap for safety sake, I have no interest in selling a frame to anyone once I’ve made cuts and welds on it lol.

the solo kit will be sold but it will need the D44 hubs either replaced or heavily bead blasted they rusted through the steel it

rear Axel and stock gas tank are also available but not sure if that holds much value to anyone.

the big boy shock package will be for sale and potentially the 4 PRP seats.

headlights are still NIB so that’s nice if anyone wants to upgrade to morimoto lights (retrofitsource full headlights)

everything else not listed is TBD

    today was a long day

    BTW...

I saw these guys mentioned in here a couple months ago. And they were also mentioned in my 4 Runner build thread. https://tedesigns.com/collections/toyotatacoma

I reached out to TEDesigns and they got back to me. I just want to say they a SUPER freaking cool. I emailed back and forth with them pretty much all day yesterday, chatting about plans and wheeling etc.

Unfortunately they don't have any plans to do a cage for a 3rd Gen 4Runner. It's all about the fact that they haven't had anyone interested, that could be a test pig for them. Being that they are in Salt Lake City, I'm no help either. They would need someone local, with a 3rd Gen T4R that wants a cage built. They DID, however, let me know, that if they can walk me through something I'm hung up on, to just reach out and ask.

They do cages for 1 Gen extra cab, 1 gen back half, 2 Gen Cages, Back half, and an engine cage. Judging by their helpfulness, and general attitude, I would highly recommend at least considering them, if someone wants a product they offer.

I just got a call from the shop.

They stated that the alternator is putting out power, however the harness that plugs into the alternator is having issues. They said they can move the harness and get a different voltage reading.

I gave them the go ahead to tear into the harness and see if they can fix the mess

I have a double cab long bed custom driveshaft not doing anything. Has the IEDLS carrier bearing on it, double cardan and slip at the pinion for extra clearance.

Boy was that loud. Little guy has done every notch in the back-half, interior cage, roof, and axle truss. RIP.
