During these sales, I often buy known wear item parts and hold them until I need them.

When these sales happen, order fulfillment gets backed up. So, planning is the way to do it.

I finally did it and ordered a new Master Cylinder Assembly for the 02 Cruiser. Unfortunately, the one I have in the 1999 model will not work .

 

How did you stack the discounts? I need to order a steering rack finally

 

Dealer discount is referring to the discount off MSRP that the dealer is normally selling the parts at. Plus the additional 25% sale and free shipping that automatically applies at checkout. Just add the rack to your cart and you'll see the same discounts.

Ah I see, interesting. That dealer has decent discounts... $415 for a steering rack shipped isn't a bad deal at all

 

Should be near $315 shipped said and done.

What part number did you use? I used 44250-35042 for the Power Steering Gear Assembly

Damn at $300 tempted to put one on the shelf just in case

 

That could be the rack only though...No the entire assembly. Trying to figure that out currently.

 

That's just the internal rack shaft, I don't think you want that

Figured that out haha. $415 shipped is a mint deal then.

 

Ordered... rack has been leaking like crazy for 3 years, works fine but with prices of parts guaranteed to go up in the not at all distant future, this seems kinda like a no brainer to have on the shelf, $415 to the door is a deal.

 

That's a good point, mine leaks a bit but I put some 555 ITRE's and the updated rack guide in a couple weeks ago...was gonna see how it did this summer but now I may need to rethink that decision and order a rack...
