2013 Toyota Tacoma 4cyl base model, cranks won't start
All fuses are good, relays are good, new spark plugs, new battery, it failed intermittently until it stopped working.
I was able to start it by applying starter fluid through the air intake throttle,
It was recommended to replace the fuel pump,
I replaced it with a new one. But the problem persists.
Thanks for any ideas you can give me to solve this problem.

That grok is pretty cool but no use going after the ignition. The starting fluid proves it's fuel related. Do those things. First thing, do you hear the fuel pump running when you first turn the key on before starting?

Have you checked the fuel pump resistor or relay?

Sounds like you should check fuel pressure and see if you have any.

2.7L doesn't have a fuel pump resistor or fuel pump relay, the C/OPN relay controls the fuel pump.

    Good afternoon everyone,
thank you for such a quick response.
    Following the advice of grok

    1. I started by removing the mass air flow sensor, than i tried to start my Tacoma, but the problem persists

    2. With the fuel pump already exposed, I did not hear any sound at the pump priming,
did turned key to accessories and also starting it.
There is no sound on both.
I removed the pump connector and looked for ground continuity
on harness and it has continuity,
then with a multimeter I looked for the 12 volts on the power side,
and it has 12 volts only when I try to start it.
It means that fuel pump it's receiving 12 volts and ground.
before removing the new pump, tried connecting 12 volts and ground directly to fuel pump and it works,
then the problem is somewhere else.
Any idea why if I apply 12 volts directly to the pump it works,
and the harness gives me 12 volts and ground continuity
and when I connect the harness to the fuel pump it stops working.

I apologize for my post, since I'm using google translate
    and it could be confusing.
    Thanks for your help.

Check the fuse again, or even just replace it, if you have one of those dumb light up when blown fuses they will pass enough voltage to register on a meter but not enough to do anything else

Toyota does not use a key-on prime, the pump only runs during cranking and after the engine has started.

We know the pump is running but is it making any pressure?

Are you certain you connected the lines correctly when you replaced the pump? If they are reversed the truck will not run.

my tacoma does not have a fitting at the engine compartment
    to check pressure.
You know if there is an adapter,
and in which of the 2 fuel lines the adapter goes

fuel lines look straight forward since one is longer than the other
but I could have changed the part that goes on the body below the tank
tomorrow I'll look at the connections and post some photos to make sure I reinstalled them correctly.

    thanks.

You would need something like this to tee into the line.

This is a V6 but the line should come off the frame in the same spot.

Is it possible you have a fuel pump connection issue? I mean, the connector looks connected, but the terminals are not really making contact.

Good afternoon, update Checking the fuse that goes to the fuel pump, the fuse seems to be fine, even so I changed it for a new one, suggested by member 545.

My truck started on the second try and then shuts off, I tried it several times with the same result, turning on and then dies after a few seconds.
I stopped there, used an ob2 scanner and it gave 2 codes po102 and po113.
I finally heard my tacoma turn on, although only for a few seconds.
It seems that the search is narrowing down.
    Thanks to all

    Hello Good afternoon
I seem to have found the problem, following your advice and diagrams of Dm93.
pin 8 of the IB1 socket seemed normal, but a little smoked
with a small pin I scraped it as best I could and also cleaned pin 8
I put everything back, and give it a try
it turned on the first try, and it stayed on.
I turned it on and off a few more times and it still works.
I don't know if it was actually the IB1 socket.
I'm attaching some photos of what I think is the IB1 socket
and it's the one I cleaned.
    Thanks
