Ok it's gonna be a long one haha I purchased my first tacoma a 2023 trd pro seems to have tons of electrical mods but idk how to use them or how they work any insight to these questions would be awesome.

What is the M62 sticker in my dash mean?

Appears i have 2 battery's and 2 voltage meters inside how do they work and does it look ok? They are reading 13.9 sometimes 14.0

Many led bars winch and lights installed with buttons which I'm familiar with

Button up top with lighting bolt means? I think it's to go into rear lock in any drive mode not sure.

Battery link button is always green appears to do nothing when pressed is that normal or a thing??

Oil catch can looks aftermarket what is it for and is it good or bad ?

Im coming from overlanding in a subaru have no idea please no scrutiny just asking for information and how to use certain things happy to be apart of a new crowd in the tacoma world.

It would have been a good idea to ask all those questions before you purchased it.

Unless you can build me a time machine I don't think that's possible.

    inspected by identifier

Appears i have 2 battery's and 2 voltage meters inside how do they work and does it look ok? They are reading 13.9 sometimes 14.0
should read 14ish when truck is running, everything off a 12v battery is 12.6-12.8v

Button up top with lighting bolt means? I think it's to go into rear lock in any drive mode not sure.
anytime locker is a brand best to check their website for more info on operation

Battery link button is always green appears to do nothing when pressed is that normal or a thing??

Oil catch can looks aftermarket what is it for and is it good or bad ?
gonna find divided camps on this but i've never had one cause harm, most will say its not needed

super nice truck. definitely looks low miles.

It’s a beautiful truck BUT you should have asked those questions before.
Did you purchase from a private seller, Toyota dealer, used car dealer. it has a lot of electrical modifications that seem like will lead to electrical issues later.. especially since you don’t really know what and how things were done, good luck.

And that anytime locker switch. Thanks for the replies will keep looking.

I’d go back to the dealer and ask those questions, maybe speak with the tech and have him give you a tour. Take pictures or video as it’s likely a one time thing

    My best guesses:
The "Battery Link" switch likely connects the two batteries together in parallel (this would be useful for starting the truck from the "house" battery should the chassis (OE) battery be drained for some reason).

One voltmeter is for the House battery, the other for the chassis battery (couldn't tell you which one is which though, you'll have to figure that out as you use the system)

Catch can's primary purpose on the 3.5L is to catch oil that tries to make its way up into the PCV system while on a steep uphill incline (search "Tacoma smoking on an incline"). Some say it's ability to trap oil mist traveling from the PCV under more-normal conditions has benefits too.
It should be emptied somewhat regularly, or after an offroading trip.

Looks like whoever did the work also paid reasonable attention to detail, nothing's really jumping out at me as being "hacked" or butchered, although the cover is missing off your engine (cosmetic only).

    well welcome....
if you can work on that stuff than ok
    but.....if not
it may be simpler and cheaper to remove it and put it back to stock on the electrical stuff
or drive it and remove it if it acts up because it may be hard to find a shop to work on it

coincidentally, i just happen to have one more time machine left. let me know if you want to know where to send the money. it is expensive though. you'll figure it out when you get it home. :)

seriously, that looks like one hell of a toy and builder's credential is great.
one tip, don't say what yo paid for it here. you'll get nothing but grief.

catch can: some swear by it and some swear at it. it may be an annoyance you will have to empty now and then.
good idea to track down previous owner/builder for a tour. he'd probably love to brag on it.

what are the long black things on the top?

    and welcome...

edit: my guess on volt meters is they are just voltage at the batt terminals. hopefully you took the pic when the truck was running. they should settle down to below 13 once it is turned off. you might want to use a multimeter to probe the batts to see if i am right.

To add to what others have mentioned, here is a good bit of info on the Black Ops Anytime Locker ( ) which your switch looks to be like the one in the picture you provided.

Edit: The link wont work on TW, just Google "trail tacoma black ops anytime locker"
