355ci, last time I tried a quarter it did 11.1 @ 132mph and kiked off the track and said I needed a parachute, lol.

That was when the trans was not working well at all, could have been in the 10s easy, this all with street tires, not even drag radials.

those are some nice cars! reason why I decided to bring up this thread is that im thinkin about buying one (probably a 1964 GTO) I want the car to be just like the march 1964 car and driver when it paired up with a Ferrari GTO. first I gotta find the car, then find a 421 engine to reproduce the magazine car, as well as the "bobcat"

Though not an original, my father-in-law built a FFR Cobra... Dropped a heavily modded (Not sure what all, myself) 408 Windsor under the hood, has a few dyno sheets in the area of ~550rwhp...

However, the guy that takes care of the maintenance @ our church has a BEEEEAAAAUUUUTTTTIIIIFFFFFULLL white Goat convertible. Everything matches and is in impeccable condition, seeing as how he's been the one and only owner!

I, on the other hand, tend to lean more towards imports... dunno why.

In the past I've owned a heavily modded (NOT RICED!!!) '99 Eclipse GSX, '03 EVO VIII; and my current project car is a twin-turbo 370z that currently exists as a disassembled pile of parts in the corner of my cousin's shop, since being a newlywed AND business owner has been keeping my hands full!

There is a guy around my town with a 370z that he has decked out with who knows what. I was at a light next to him (no I didn't race). He took off like a bat out of hell and was out of my sight in about 20 seconds.

nice! How bad was that to restore? I know nothing is "easy" about restoration projects but was it "easy" to do? That is the car I would absolutely love to restore but have heard some people say they are a major pita to work or and others say it was fairly simple.

It's been a really long process. My dad got the car off of a good friend after it had been sitting outside for 15+ years, he had one just like when he was younger. I'm still kind of living with my parents so it's considered "ours".
Finding parts is pretty difficult at times and most engine internals are more expensive to replace. I really like the way Olds engines rev low and have a lot of torque, along with the unique sound.

Not the best or most recent pic buttttt i'll take some good ones sometime soon.

My first cars were muscle cars. Something that my dad and I could both enjoy.

Car #1 1966 Chevy II SS. This one had a 1970 Corvette LT1 350 in it, Muncie 4sp, running about 450hp. Mom made us sell it before I even turned 16.

Car #2 1971 Chevy Nova. 350 Turbo 350 trans. Pretty fun. Nice but no show car.

Car #3 1971 Cuda. Actually a Barracuda. 383 737TF trans. Wish I still had. Looked great but kinda drove like crap. That torsion bar front end wandered like crazy...

No mucle cars anymore. Prices got way out of control. Maybe someday.

awesome thanks for the heads up. being brand new to restoring a car, I think I am going to start off with something that is easier to get parts for. Thinking a trans am or something of that nature.
