The MSRP cards were a mere illusion on Best buy and Newegg. The button on BB went straight from coming soon to sold out, never saw them orderable. The $750 cards were available for a little bit longer on Newegg. They probably had a ton of Hellhounds and Red devils based on what I saw. Curious as to how many Swifts they actually sold? The Gigabytes were one of the last remaining, now the white ones. All the fancier enthusiasts cards were blown out immediately. I would have scooped a nitro+, tachi, or mercury personally but with markup and tax those are easily in not worth it territory.

It's crazy to see that MSRP, isn't MSRP at the big box stores anymore.

There's quite a few 9070xt's available on eBay right along side the 5070ti's, 5080's, 5090's.

What's that saying? One in the hand is worth two in the bush?

Thankful for my 5070 ti. :)

If you believe JayzTwoCents, XFX and Sapphire provided retailers cards at MSRP with the caveat that restocked cards would have the tariffs included at a new tariff MSRP.

It looks like Microcenter chose to not exploit customers while BB and Newegg did. I mean, that's how tariffs work, it's both a real cost and an excuse for retailers to hike margins.

There were 13 9070 XTs at Memory Express Lethbridge this morning. The population of the city is 100,000 people. Calgary had dozens.

    Also two unsold Asus 5070Ti's.

It's scalpers driving the sell outs, and any retails that have brick and mortar and half a brain have stopped selling all of their cards online. Gamers remember who supported scalpers. I won't buy anything from Canada Computers for a while.

I wish all retailers would stop selling them online, and go back to brick and mortar stores, at this point the internet has just turned into one giant scam call center. I miss the excitement of going and standing in line to get something I really wanted, because it's just too easy for folks who don't really want something, to scalp cards, PlayStation and Xboxes to resell them on eBay for double the price.

Yeah, I had time this morning and was in town so I hung out in line at the local place for a bit. They actually had a lot of cards compared to the 50 series launches. That was a choice by the company though to limit online sales to roughly 30% of their inventory.

If the rumor mill is right, nVidia has a pile of inventory coming in April. These scammers are going to get burned but they won't learn.

Man, AMD is under a bit of :bananadead:

Apparently, MSRP-priced cards were said to apply to only a specific quantity.

There was a lot of backlash and AMD had to publicly state that their $549/$599 MSRP was not a launch-only price, which apparently is what they originally intended to do

It's mostly because of the EU. Over their cards are showing up for over $1K USD, which makes no sense.

In NA, all the base cards were sold at MSRP or close to.

It'll be sumbag of AMD though if they don't convince partners to sell more base level cards at MSRP. If all that shows up in stores are the high end models that are almost 5070TI high, then AMD really is :bananadead:

Intel has been doom and gloom for a while. I work with a bunch of engineers there and they have no idea wtf is going to happen. Rumor is they are going to close a large campus here which would be a very big deal. (jones farm)

There's some good pretty deals on power supplies on eBay. Appears scalpers have ordered gpu/psu combos and are dumping the psu's for cheap while still trying to extort up to $5k for 5090's. :bananadead:

Question is, do I support their behavior and buy one or order from somewhere else? :anonymous:

What's worse is those bundle PSUs are whatever they couldn't sell over the past couple of years alone. So you're buying from the island of misfit PSUs lol

    The msi ones are new.

I was looking at the msi mpg a1000gs and corsair rmx 1000 series.

The trick is finding one within a reasonable shipping distance and one that still has the plastic shrink wrap intact.

Eh I got an a850gs with one and it was below retail after the bundle discount. I saw plenty with Lokis and some other really good psus.

Check Corsair direct. They ship out of CA. I just ordered another pcie cable from them, gonna keep the trusty sf750 in service a little longer.
