Speaking of, kind of.

A coconut cream filled malasada on the beach for breakfast.

 

And what dealer would do that kind of leg work? He had money. They had a truck. Most dealers can barely count cash down payments before rotating out sales people. It's not like there's a lot of time to establish a caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable sales staff under those conditions.

 

You know, the crazy part of that picture is that the ATV is worth more than the tow vehicle, but less than the non-motorized trailer it's in.

With my (stalled/sidetracked) trailer project, I realized once I'm done I'll never be able to move it by hand out of where I want to store it(uphill as well!), and the truck is far too large to get back there.

So on an ill-advised trip through Facebook, I figured it'd be fun to pick up a rough but workable 4x4 ATV to use as a trailer yard dawg and snow plow rig. Sticker shock. Unassembled non-running examples are asking $1000. Running examples seem to demand $2-5k minimum. I had been figuring $500 would get me a decent one...

On the other hand, rotting jeep Cherokee's and questionably running wranglers can be had for $500-2000, and they carry a title and are road legal(road safe is a different statement entirely)...

Lawn tractors are the oddball. Many are available in the ranges of "PLEASE TAKE IT!!" to $500...

 

Cole’s room is taking shape. After redoing the floor at Christmas and painting last week, the cedar boards are on the back wall. Now to put a board and shelf around where the paints meet.

For those that don’t know, he got sick and threw up on the carpet late one night. Wife wanted me to get it up, I said ok.

 

I cant find decent used atv for under $3K here.

The thing with lawn tractors is the deck fails long before the tractor - sure you can pull a cart around but that is about it.

Real garden tractors hold their value better.
