What a day. Turned to crap am I’m not doing too well.

Had to go to my mother’s house to fix the tv - lost internet connection. That turned into hounding on a bunch of things that I can’t do anything about. Felt like it was my fault though. She has a habit of kicking a guy when he’s down.

"Thank you for taking time out of your day, sorry it was more work than expected.

I just appreciate you coming over to help."

This is the expected conversation, anything else is on her.

I used to spend hours helping my Mom with stuff and that's what she would say. Her job was to build me up, not tear me down.
You are no different, don't take it personally she isn't perfect, none of us are.

    Except Weesa.

Thanks. It’s hard because she is genuinely narcissistic. She’s made me feel like I’m indebted to her and I have to get over that. It’s sad to say but I’m biding my time until the end - she’s a spry 91.

I didn’t go sap collecting today. Just didn’t feel it. I went for lunch with my sister instead at the local diner. I had the lumberjack breakfast for lunch. I don’t have to eat until tomorrow.

The story i always share about my Mom:
She was a great Mom, loved her dearly. But at 95, she had lost her memory and only remembered me. I was sad when she passed but at the same time I was glad it was finally over for her and me. Dont feel bad about it, everyone with an older parent probably feels the same.

    Good evening gang.

I broke down and went to a Patient first type of place. I will know tomorrow if it has turned into pneumonia or not. In the mean time, 2 antibiotics and a "cough" syrup that could make me trip. it even came with it's own 10ml syringe! Anyone want a shot? :D

I actually feel petty even sharing this, quiet of few people in here have much worse things to contend with.

We hit the farmers market in Columbia and hooked the dogs up with sweet potatoes but we skipped Columbia. After the market we rode over to congaree national park and spent the afternoon I didn’t really expect much but we enjoyed it. And I will go back again probably not in late summer I imagine then the mosquitoes would suck you dry. But on a day like today it was very nice I can’t believe I’ve lived here most of my life and it took me this long to check it out.

Wife was told about 10yrs ago she was allergic to egg whites so she basically quit eating eggs, but at the latest test this week says shes not allergic to them...may have been read wrong by a doctor.:rolleyes:

Also they are finding that if you were allergic to penecillin sometimes your body gets used to it, then you arent anymore, so shes getting another test on that also.
