Most likely the relay has got hot and welded itself to the relay box or corroded itself stuck. Is it possible to disconnect the battery and get a small flat head screw drive between the relay and relay box and separate them?

Already tried with tiny flathead, a metal pick thing, and a dedicated relay puller.

Try and remove the one above it or below it so you can get better access to it.

Oh and I held the relay panel thing back with a 3/8 drive extension and the longest socket I could find.

Pulled the fuse yesterday and truck starts right up so there’s no parasitic draw. Now to figure out if it’s the relay or faulty ecu. Dealership has a 3 hour minimum @ $189/hr just to diagnose and I’ve got to leave the truck with them for 2 weeks at least. Taking it to a reputable auto electrical shop.

Stupid side question, but which fuse is it for the cargo area light? TIA.

7.5 right above a 5 at the very bottom towards the driver and away from the brake pedal.

You pretty much narrowed the issue. Worst part is a junction box may need to be replaced. Could be expensive

Culprit ended up being VERY minimal water leakage through the windshield that coincidentally dripped right onto the relays. This is why I couldn’t pull the relays out no matter how hard I pulled on them while I simultaneously held panel back with a socket extension.

I got a free windshield repair warranty through the dealership as a recent grad gift when I bought the truck. Only problem is that everything goes through SafeLite.

Was you able to clean up the relay box and install new relays?

That’s a lot cheaper than paying the dealership. Good luck with it.
