At least you'll have a place to sit and post to TW in the garage when you're not let back into the house.

Amsoil is only 25% more than I paid in 2018. That’s pretty good considering how much some other stuff costs.

Yeah honestly, by no means is amsoil affordable, but it doesn't seem as overpriced as it used to now lol. I think I am going to toss Walmart super tech full synthetic 75w90 into the 4Runner. Super tech has gotten the seal of approval many times over on BITOG and the price is right.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
After PT today, I went to High Cliff State Park for a while. Climbed the tower to see how the lake looked. From one of the boat landings on the way there, the ice didn't look good. A couple of guys were on the ice, but no more than maybe 200' from shore, and there was a lot of runoff running into a large open spot in the ice.

It's unusual seeing all of the shanties off the ice already...usually they're practically ready to fall through the ice before guys pull them off. On the way back to the truck, a herd of deer came up the hill in front of me, 15 of them. Completely oblivious of me for surprisingly long. Finally, one saw me. They all stopped and looked at me, tails all twitching. After a few seconds, they moved along at a fast walk, eventually started to run.

I used to work with a guy at UPS that would always ask people "ain't you ever been in the shower with a guy, and watch the soap suds run down the crack of his ass?"

Fishing season for a lot of game fish (bass, northern, etc.) ended March 2, so that along with the warmer conditions lately is probably why you didn't see many people fishing.

Didn't drive the truck yesterday so it sat in the garage and froze solid from my snow day escapades. Square wheels today-45 max Holy sheet that was a rough ride to school. Lots of frozen muck in the wheels. Sitting in the shop defrosting today...

The ice on the lakes around me looks like shit. If I had a shanty, I'd have pulled it weeks ago.

As Dean mentioned, the closing of gamefish season is the end of ice fishing for a lot of people.

Usually, the DNR has to make announcements on the news for people to get their shanties off of Winnebago. Like I said, some wait until it's almost dangerous to be on the ice to pull them off.
