Did he get is CNC table? He's been talking about needing one lately in his videos, hoping to get a channel sponsor.

Hopefully he just brought it up because he thought you'd enjoy it. He seems like a good dude. Don't blame him for wanting to promote his channel (he's only been at it for a few months), but I hope he doesn't turn into a thirsty attention seeking influencer type.

I made that same complaint when the video first dropped. I understand the motivation to play the algorithm game, but there's a line between plausible hype and cheap clickbait. Again, hope he finds his place on the right side of the line. I'll avoid channels that are on the wrong side of it.

I'd like to find a way to get in touch with him, get his setup tuned right. He's close to LCE who do good work but they outsource their Haltech stuff to the "other" guy.

Yeah that'd be cool, or you can see if he'd be interested to chat with us at least. He may already have a sponsorship deal but I've seen the work that other company does... after the dust settles he'd probably still want someone to fix it up proper.

Messaged him and tossed him your Haltech thread link

Small world really, he's maybe the 3rd or 4th Youtuber I've helped. One guy had some 150k followers.

Yeah he joined the group I'm in and asked for help. I normally get tagged in those so I jumped on for about half an hour with him.

He's got CAD figured out and all. It was just specific to the table's controller.

It's proprietary so it has a completely different UI than say, Mach 3 or Mach 4 that many are used to.

It works great, but it's one of those where the table doesn't know what size it is, etc. You just zero manually any time you wish to cut if you need to cut out from a specific part of your sheet. Manually setting origin points is extremely helpful and many don't even realize they can do that.

Simple really but I think that's what confuses most.

The nice thing is, you can literally expand your table to a 10 x 10 if you felt the need. The software has no travel limits at all.

I like Mach 3 a lot, even works well on older converted CNCs for being open source

Speaking of the group, about 50+ requests to join the group come in every single day

It's easy to tell the scammers apart, sometimes, but other times it's like wtf...

I liked it when I toyed with it a bit too, and definitely what I was going to use if I had made my own CNC table.

Linear rails, etc are all cheap and plentiful. Same with drivers (as cheap as $9 per axis).

    Buuuuuut...laziness :bananadead:

The suspected owner may have been liable for some criminal charges of damages. Like when someone hits a cow on the highway. Nobody will admit to owning the cow.
