That's a horrible idea. What time?
Making some progress. Water pop at 220. One more pass of 400 and I can start the finishing.

Poured resin yesterday. Very slow cure. Scared the poop out of me, went to bed last night and still not cured. Woke and solid!! Will post picks of the post cure soon. Remember I will rip and cross cut all the remaining aluminum wires out. Making book shelf speaker shelves with a decorative colored line in the glue line. Used red for my test project, visibility. Living room will be more muted.

Pulled the longer aluminum wires out.

You even get a fancy blue Systainer!

I love my domino. I got it about three years ago. I sold off some of my rarely used gun collection to fund its purchase and have zero regrets. I use it all this time. It is definitely not needed, there are many other ways to do the same thing. I consider it a luxury that makes layout and joining quick and easy. I feel that my confidence to tackle complicated projects has really grown since starting to use my Domino.

I may be building a pair of stands for some bookshelf speakers soon. Cant wait to see how yours turn out. I have a few ideas in my head right now.

Here is a style that I really like. These are not my work, I just found the pic online. However, I may take a shot at making them.

Had family in town this weekend, so not much shop time. Got the back panel fit. Only dry fit for near future.

    IMG_8656.jpg IMG_8657.jpg

Also practiced making square plugs and leg indents. Looks like I still need more practice at both before I attempt on the real deal.

Looking good brother, nice work. I haven't been in the shop for weeks and it's killing me, lol. Work got busy, then I got sick. Feeling better now so shop time is much needed. Glad your getting shop time!

Thanks. Pictures don't do the wood justice. I need to rub them with an oil/wax tomorrow. Then hang with some fake brass brackets and get my speakers off the floor finally.

11x12" finished, planed, jointer one edge, table saw cut square. Reasonably true. Was worried the glue joint would make square difficult, but it was pretty even 2 mm, thanks to the wire.

IMG_9953.jpg IMG_9955.jpg Never mind the wire routing. Those speakers sound sweet on the ground but so much better now. I was enjoying the tunes and even forgot to fire up the subwoofer amplifier.

I had to take the day off work due to a dentist appointment, unplanned.

I used the morning to mill the rough lumber and glue up the top and bottom panels to the cabinet.

    Top
    IMG_8689.jpg

    Bottom
    IMG_8690.jpg

Practiced shelf pin holes. Needed to make sure that the stop on my drill bit is installed properly. It would really suck to go all the way through an assembled side panel.

    IMG_8691.jpg

    Parts everywhere.

    Edit
    Looking like a cabinet.

Any thoughts on what species of wood this is? It’s a hardwood, very dense and heavy. I have no clue, but I know it’s not oak, hickory, walnut, maple, or ash.
