Yeah time to get some more dirt miles on the truck. Mines down at the moment waiting on new spindles from drt. Hopefully they’re faster than the 12 week lead time.

 

With most of their stuff coming from china, they probably priced themselves out with these tariff things lol.

I have a double cab, and it barely fits car seats - nevermind fitting homies.

I would say don't, unless theres a ton of play in that joint just open it up and scrape as much grease out as you can than regrease and call it a day. otherwise just changing the balls probably wont do much since at that point the star and inner wear surfaces of the cup are probably toast as well.

 

Gotcha. Pretty new to diagnosing CV noise, outer starting a click full lock in 4lo.

 

Honestly cv's are such a messy pita I value my time more and would just buy a new one.

 

When I was stock I'd buy low mileage OEM takeoffs from ebay for $100/ea.

Now, you can send CV's and parts (or not) to CVJ and they'll rebuild them for you.

 

I will need that for my 4Runner at some time when I redo the front suspension.
I got a click on 4wd.
CV axles are a foreign mystery to me, almost as much as automatic transmissions.
