I got a return call from them. The only way to run it, and the way he was running it in Win11 is with Core Isolation/Memory Integrity turned off...Windows doesn't recommend this. I'm sure in a corporate situation with layers of security that's fine. It makes me leery.

His other suggestion was to run on an older machine, which is what I'll do.

I thought my front end was sagging. Turns out it's getting bad taco lean, now. It wasn't there after install of the MT64's.

I slowly jacked the truck up at the frame until the d.s. tire about lifted off the ground.
After looking around and slowly lowering the jack, no more lean.
So, I slowly raised and lowered it several more times....no lean.

    Weird. o_O
    Wonder how long that'll last...

On a side note, I have know idea where my deep well 19mm went....
Guess I'll have to buy another.

If you just raised it and put it back down, the suspension hasn’t settled. Go drive it around the block.

AI is amazing for some tasks… very much not for most. It still has a long way to go. It’s basically a fancy search engine

TW hive mind... as some know I am very frustrated with my rear drum brakes. After many miles I redid them last summer and they have just not been right. In fact they suck. So today as I was backing the truck in the garage I hit the e brake (which I have done before, but not with such effect) and they grabbed and held, like... they haven't ever. Is it possible to put the pads in there wrong? I don't think so but... they have not worked for sheet since I did the brake job. Full floater Ford 9" is my solution but going to take a while. Sad my brother passed-he probably has a half a dozen just laying around...

I have found that the old backup & hit the brakes doesn't adjust the rear brakes, you need to use the e-brake to adjust.

It's been along time since I've been inside the rear brakes, but if the shoes are different sizes, the smaller one goes toward the front.

Mine has a lean normally but I just adjust tire pressure to level it out.

I would've had the shocks assembled to compensate, but I didn't have the lean before.

    A fancy inaccurate search engine.

OME Dakar springs are side specific for that very reason

I'd have to disagree. Right now I'm having it write fairly complex websites for me. I can do in a couple hours what used to take days or weeks! I'm completely blown away by what it can do.
It also gave me a very accurate answer when asked which is the best gen for Tacos. :crapstorm:

I lost a bunch of weight this winter, I don't want to screw around with adjusting shocks when I can just tweak the PSI a bit. :boink:

I had a similar issue with my rears after I did mine. Toyota specifies 0.5mm clearance between the drum and shoes for the 3rd gen. I don't have calipers large enough to measure so I hade to play around a bit to get the clearance right. If I remember I adjusted the shoes so they dragged on the drum when I was installing it and then backed the shoes off some. Every time I parked I would back up and hit the parking brake, eventually it self adjusted.

Has anyone else read the book that Grok came from? Robert Heinlein's 1961 classic sci-fi novel Stranger in a Strange Land.
