Mine seems to make balancing the driveshaft more complicated.

I installed it a while ago, had no issues.
Dented the driveshaft playing on rocks.
Pulled the driveshaft, took it to a local place here that has done work for me before. Good shop. They've repaired several driveshafts that I've damaged on rocks and always come out great.
This time no matter what they tried, I'd get vibrations when I reinstalled the shaft on the truck.
Had them remove the mitch bearing and use an OEM carrier bearing. Driveshaft balanced and is fine on the truck.

Mine is a 2WD 4door shortbed and planning to use it i know it is stated to just add the slip yoke by a DS shop but did anyone have done it by just using the 4x4 drive shaft that has a slip yoke or the only way is to modify my current drive shaft i think mine is perfect havent drive on rocks or anything just a daily drive

Theoretically you could swap in the rear half of a 4x4 shaft to your 2wd drive shaft for the 4x4 slip yoke. The front segment of the shafts is different attachment and length.

I’m not sure what is cheaper. Used driveshaft and getting that Frankenstein setup balanced, or getting your stock driveshaft modified (adding slip yoke).

was just curious if anyone have done it and it work because i accidentally bought the short 68.38inch 4x4 drive shaft my fault just glad that i have 90days to return it and was planning to do return and replace but not sure if the 80.37 inch will fit mine but its close to almost the same length which is mine measure in 79.75 inch end to end. I am looking for a DS shop locally i have a strong feeling its gonna be more expensive to get it done by a DS shop but ill give them a call this Monday and see the price difference
