Battery Hold Down?

My battery died on me in my garage. Here on Maui west side only have o'rileys. I got a new one but the back of the hold down the rod is not adjustable and is like 1/8" short. I did get in in but is a bit mickey mouse. Should i just be OK with it or get a universal hold down with adjustable rods on both sides? I am maybe a bit too anal about this!

I'd just go to Maui Toyota on Hana Highway and get a proper oem one that fits properly.
Bit of a drive for you but you could go there on next costco run.
They also have free nice pens in variety of colors.
You could use zip ties for extra hold down for now.

I ran into the same issue and ordered a cheapie adjustable one on Amazon and it works fine. Super secure.

So you are familiar with the drive, sucks? Been here 22 years and sick of it!
The crossover top fits perfect just the one rod is too short. To get it hooked i had to angle the top part to hook it now it does not go all the way down . Jury rigged, i know, but it is tight
It was friday afternoon and i needed a battery so only option was O'Rilleys. They had 2 batteries that came up for a 2016 one OK and then the better one, so i took the better one. Same size except like a 1/4" taller.

All my pens I have are from toyota, LOL
